Thread: Looking for Law Firm - Small Claims

Ok, the kunt next door re-doing their office building have cause structural damage to my house, and specifically to the roof in the kitchen extension. Cracks on walls, gaps in the roof have caused damages difficult to fix without taking everything apart.

They sent some Issaan monkey to evaluate the damages, and the clueless lad did an evaluation of the repair for fixing the roof and the cracks. The problem is that the damages are structural, not superficial, so they have no idea of what to fix really.

Anyway, I have estimated that the roof need be changed completely and a few crack repaired for a total of 100,000 THB

I waited for their estimate and I got their answer today, they are ready to give me 5,000 THB

enough fucking around Thai Monkey style, time to go to court with the other neighbors who also got their house damaged,

anyone can recommend a serious law firm for those kind of small claims ?

Can't suggest anything but real best of luck.

If you have the place insured the best way is to make a claim on Your insurance and get the repairs done - then it will be up to them to get recovery from the prat who caused the problem .

If you are insured and it is with a halfdecent insurance company it should not affect your renewal premium as it was damage by a third party .

There is an American guy in Bangkok, I spoke to him a while back he is well up on Thai law, shit, you know I just deleted his contact details a couple of days ago, but if you trawl through Thai visa and search through some of the marriage / land / law posts I am sure you will find him, it's something like GM Law or GW Law...hope you get sorted...but 5K Baht man! you could build a new condo for that..you are just another "unreasonable" farang, who is tryin to fleece the poor "honest" Thais!
