My son - who works for Vodaphone - gave me a little gadget that you pop your sim card into and it stores all your numbers as a backup - when you add a number you just do it again - have used it to transfer numbers to and from Vodaphone- 1-2-call- FarEasTone ( Taiwan) - Maxis (malaysia) and Japanese sim cards . It is about as big as a cigarette lighter.
Has a button on it where you can put two cards in and add from one card to another as well without changing the original card numbers .
Don't know if it was a Vodaphone 'freebie' ( knowing my lad it probably was ! ) and have never seen them on the market - on the other hand I have never looked for one !
May be worth a look for next time you are at a phone shop.
On the other hand - being a total wanker when it comes to things electronic( no comment is required E.G.) I might be "teaching my grandmother how to suck eggs" and they are common knowledge but only trying to help
Glad to hear you have finally recovered your phone.
Just goes to show how lazy we all have become and with regard to protecting our basic information (like tel., contact numbers).
Fcek I remember the days of carrying phone number diary's around and looking for telephone booths and to conduct my business and personal life (old cnut that I am).
I remember when you used to actually have to remember phone numbers, now I don't even know what my own mobile number is

No Bluetooth. It's got infrared apparently.
you could send it to another phone with infared
Don't some laptops have infrared ports?
I believe it does. Hmmm...
you do it the same way as sending it by bluetooth. when you hit send whole address book it will give you the option for infared, bluetooth or text message
Just make sure that the infra-red ports of the phone and computer are lined up correctly.
It seems I can only transfer stuff to my phone, not from it.
*edit
I can only do one contact at a time.
i think you might need an upgrade
See if you can go into your Address Book Options then go to Advanced, "Send All by..." maybe there.
I can only copy all to either the SIM or the phone.
I've never liked this phone.
So have you tried to find PC software for the phone at SonyEricsson site?
PC Suite is the name and it is free.
I use contacts transfer for symbian OS
S60 Software
send via bluetooth , IR or to the mem card
I don't think there is a UIQ ver for the sony erricson shite
Yes, I did. Nothing. PC Suite doesn't work with my shitty phone.Originally Posted by lom

That's a bit strange cause Ericsson has had the PC Suite for their phones for years.Originally Posted by Marmite the Dog
Your phone must either be a Chinese copy or maybe a Sony phone from the time of the merger with Ericsson.
You could try to get a SIM card reader with software, the reader nowadays available as a USB dongle. Panthip ought to have it for a few hundred bahts.
The software usually also contains an editor for the phonebook file you are reading
out from the SIM.
It's a T250i, which according to S/E doesn't work with their PC suit. But I shall try anyway.Originally Posted by lom
Does this?
FJ Software Development
UIQ - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia is the sony/erricson version of symbian operating system
it is meant to send a copy of all your contacts in one go - it backs up your contacts to a file which you can reload onto another phone.Originally Posted by Marmite the Dog

If you torture data for enough time , you can get it to say what you want.
