Aussie actor-wrestler Jones hit by truck



Australian actor and professional wrestler Nathan Jones has injured his arm after being side-swiped by a cement truck in Thailand.
The giant actor, who is in Bangkok promoting his latest film, Somtum, was jogging before sunrise last week when the accident happened, his Sydney-based management Murray Weissman & Associates said.
Jones, 40, suffered nerve damage to his arm and would be sidelined from wrestling for three months, they said.
"There is no report of what damage was done to the truck in its collision with the 6ft 11 in, 320 pound (145.2kg) Jones," they said.
"The driver took off, though there were witnesses and the police are pursuing leads."
Manager Russell Cunningham said it came at a terrible time because Jones had just signed a deal with TNA wrestling in the US.
"It's a bit of a devastating blow to him but he'll get through it," he said.
A former WWA heavyweight champion and WWE wrestler, Jones has appeared in a number of movies including Troy and The Condemned.


On a side note, he spent 7 years in Brsibane's infamous Boggo Road jail for armed robbery. Rumours are he actually ripped the door of one of the cells. Scary stuff.
