Lily, the vegemite v marmite debate has been around on TD, Ajarn and Thaizine for ages. I don't think we can change marmers mind.

I have actually never eaten peanut butter, but I remember at school, kids opening their school ports and all you could smell was peanut butter sandwiched that had been in the sun all morning.

I used to almost make me ill (the smell), so I could never eat it.

Same thing for me with both vege, and marmite. The smell. To each his/her own.

But think of what you are missing. PB on bread, on toast, on crackers, smeared on pancakes or waffles and drowned in syrup.

    Ever eaten a Reese's cup?

Or how about PB on a cheese sandwich?

I still love PB spread on a celery stick. Quite tasty!

Ha ha, we eat vegemite on celery sticks.

And I just cannot bring myself to eat PB. I think it is the oil.

It's funny, because I really like peanuts.

I dont think I could come at waffles, PB and maple syrup.

    What is a Reeses cup?

I like Vegemite, but it's a learned taste to some degree.

I don't understand why people have a bit sh*tfit over Vegemite.

I like to eat it, but it's an over-rated nationalistic rah-rah thing.
