In my research I’ve found that the sale of local female bodies to sex tourists was the first notable development relating to the ‘me make love, me no feeling syndrome’.
Legalizing prostitution is about men who buy the bodies of other people not being accountable.
Legalizing prostitution will remove prostitution from the, ‘Standing on a street to sell sex to buy drugs is not work’, to; it is something for sure, if it is not a career.
To fall further is unthinkable, to ascend is very difficult.
In my recent street interviews around the local haunts i.e, Nana, Sukhumwit, KSR and other seedy local sois, I've discovered that the majority of sex workers have never made love for the joy, even with their partners, they do it exclusively to score their next hit.
I quote numerous soi cowboy girls, " i ever make money for yah bah, me no need sex, me no feeling [sic]".
This is definitely a set back for the decriminalization of prostitution debate.
