There must be quite a few fathers out there raising children with Thais that they met on beach-bar holidays that have.... questionable DNA.
....
Oh calm down, just a lil Bri'ish-Isles poke like in a pub, don't go all American on us for the love of Lulu.
Bollocks. You were trying for a triggered moment. You have all these nics and personalities
But your like a pane of glass. Can see right through you
.but no worries cobber.
It's just a forum. Just the Internet not real so please don't take anything I post seriously. And I will do likewise
Most people are Kunts.dont believe me? Next time you see a group of people. Shout out OI KUNT watch em all turn around.
^those are the ideal results.
We get (ideally):
50% of DNA from each parent
25% from each grandparent
12.5% from great grandparent
6.25% from great 2x grandparent
Etc...
But the percentages are not exact, in actual
If your son's total Asian DNA is within the 50% range, then it still holds true. I think your son's Asian total is 54 or 55%?
He may have inherited more genes from his mom than from you. However, that doesn't necessarily mean that the child will look more Asian than white.
Re: the DNA percentages, they may change over time. When more people get tested with that company, their DNA database will change. Every once in a while, the DNA companies have updates.
Re: your son being classified as "broadly Scandinavian" versus you being Danish, I think it was to simplify his results. He's of mixed Asian-European, so his results were of a broader range.
Did anyone you know come up as DNA matches? (cousins, etc)
As to how far back the DNA goes, there's a company (23 and me, I think) wherein as part of the results, they give a timeline as to when that particular group (example Danish) entered in your family tree (1700s, 1800s, etc).
Yes, there are websites like GEDmatch where you can upload the raw data & gain more insight from your results. (I haven't tried though - I've just watched a lot of DNA result videos & vids from Genea Vlogger. He's a professional genealogist & he reacts to DNA reveal vids.)
++++
@Joe - on a side note, since you now know that you have scandy genes, you can wear those Viking helmets with horns (and Viking outfit) during costume parties!![]()

It's done pretty well. The kid got around a dozen immediate family listed, and around 6500 distant relatives listed in order of DNA % matching. Quite a few Japanese and Thais in Europe, '1st cousin of parent' etc.
Also a small amount connected to an area of the South Pacific (<2%), I would guess that this is left over from early human migrations where they came down from these parts of Asia thousands of years ago etc. Rather than some Samoan rowing up to Kyoto, Chiang Mai, Rome or Aberdeen to get his rocks off 1000 years ago.
We'll photochop all the info and paste it onto the main world map they send you, get it printed, framed and hung on the wall.
Nice to have and costs... whatever it was. $70 or something for 2 of them.
I'll be lucky to survive that day!
I've got another party in the evening.
All ready for some three way party action..
