28 British Things The Whole World Needs

This young lady is from Canada and she has had the good fortune to travel outside of her country and is now living and working in Britain. Quite rightly, she thinks Britain is wonderful. I agree with everything she says about Britain.

I am sure there are more than 28 wonderful things about Britain, so feel free to add them here once you have watched her video.

I only got as far as number 8, but it is a reminder of all the things we take for granted, and how gullible other nationalities can sometimes be.

    Well done lass.

    Great stuff, Nev.

I don't think she mentioned music, did she?

    So, music, of course.

Imagine being, say, American and watching that?

A stark reminder of how far you still have to go to become a cultured, civilised nation.

#17 The seaside... Does a lot of stones count as a beach ?
#22 "mild weather" ...well, she is Canadian. I guess it seems mild.
I don't think the world needs them.

I will agree on the pubs, history and cheese.

Yeah, I liked the early showing of the British Museum.

    What a marvel that is.

NY, for example, guilt trips visitors out of visiting for free.

Green owed like Ireland with the mature class system, fewer literate but try hard.

A Canadian Treasure Chest a TD proclivity

Of course if you eat sober LOS, Czechia, France, Italy Japan even Scandihooligans shade a tad IMHO, makes you wonder why so many Brits long to retire here the Med, Staffordshirec Lancashire are lovely during the summer week and Scotland a few dry midge free days.I'll be in Wales soon but only as a means to sailing which is fluid in and out anywhere.

Think she is auditioning for a Flake advert

I love it how quickly and viciously the English turn against their national sporting teams when they lose. The reason I like the English soccer (football) team losing is the entertainment that follows as the English supporters and journalists rubbish their own team. Big time.

She is on the money with number 1

Yorkshire tea is tops and the varieties of Yorkshire are indistinguishable to my untutored palate also.

And she has also nailed it with what she leaves in and out of the fry-up. Including including the mighty US of A hash brown - IN!

I really hate to say this...but when I had breakfast in a Russian hotel the first thing that came to mind was...How very English!!

It was the tea...I could have been in any hotel in England and it would have been the same.

The way she pauses, gets misty-eyed and then has to take a deep breath to describe the glory of the Full English.

No better breakfast in the world.

    It's that simple.
