^ i am up in Dounreay (for my last time at Vulcan) in 4 weeks if you are still around

That’s a 4 hour drive to Fort William, where I am now, and about another hour to Kinlochleven.

I’m on a bus in 25 mins.

Caledonian to inverness then a Taxi these days, in the past i drove.

The Caledonian Sleeper is right in front of me.

I won't be on it for 4 weeks, ish, date tbc

I fly out LHR on the 5th Feb.

Might have taken the sleeper but fancy breaking the journey up with a Saturday night along the way.

Who lives on the train line? Joe? Dill? Hall?

First thing’s first, get a wee shop in:


£33 for that lot.

Then a walk round to Mither D’s for some home cooked comforts. Lamb in this case.



Lovely. And a chance to test drive my new heated mitts, which by the way, only used 3% of the powerbank on the 30 minute walk.

Lemme get this straight . For 33 squids you get 8 cans of tenants. 1 bottle of irn bru , 2 litres of milk , butter, 6 buns, 6 eggs, pork sausages,bacon ,smoked pork sausage.and the paper. Faark cheaper than australia

There were no baked beans, no peas and no brussel sprouts...well done sir, or do they not have that up north?

Don't know about the beans, but veggies are not grown north of Hadrian's wall and they have no word for 'vegetable' in Celtic.

Apart from the beer, it looks like it is a breakfast shop for the next morning (eggs, bacon, sausages and bread), so the only veggies needed might be baked beans!

Thanks Katie, just trying to get the thread up to date. I've not been able to get onto the site for the last couple of days. tried a different link than the usercp and it let me on, strange.
