    Your Dream Wheels?

Inspired by Loopers wonderful Gold Coast car show got me thinking, what would ne my dream car a 1934 Benz, an E type Hag, a Bentley Mulsanne Lincoln Pontinental

The Gull wing Merc or aa De Loream
    James Bond's Aston Martin

No for me the ultimate fantasy car unlikley to be available here tho maybe in Little Cuba Miami

The 1959 Chevrolet Impala, when fins were trendy not Scandanavian.

One of the few cars as good from the rear as the front

    Your Dream Wheels?-images-jpg

The shocking pink, red, bie and gold all popular i just want the yellow one I had as a model c1960

    The sports coupe of course

The Volvo P1800, a Facel Vega or a Maserati all faster but for a drive in for MM?

Looks a bit flasher than my Hilux or saloon

Rolls Royce Silver Shadow Mk II. (Metallic dark brown).

Not expensive to buy, but very costly to maintain.

Both nice choices and I guess readily available if minted and just the squeeze to chauffeur

Great think about those huge 50s American finned canoes could fit dog granny surfboard 3 kids in the trunk, fan club in huge roomy rear seats and 3 in comfort at the front, of course gas too cheap to notice.I drove a few in Florida and Cuba very juicy.

If you like to see such cars great museum Caramulo near Tondela in central Portugal
    http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attractio..._Portugal.html
    Beaulieu in Hampshire UK etc
La Habana Cuba has a few inreasingly run dwn 50-60s US cars parked in city centre for tourists and photo ops, my fave the last one aka Loppamobile

Sorry, David not a fan of those. I'd rather have a 4-6 berth motor home, which probably handles better.

My dream car has always been a Jaguar XK140:

However, I'm fast running out of time to be able to own one.

I don't believe there's a car out there that is more beautiful than a Ferrari 458 Italia.

Only possible because of Japanese mechanical transplants in most cases.

Dream cars are a young mans game imo, most take far too much fettling. Now i'm old i just want to get in, turn it on and feel comfortable, kind of like my women but not necessarily in that order.

Armstrong. Beetles are awful things, slow, noisy uncomfortable and couldn't pull the skin off custard.

True Mike. Many hold on to their youth as they remember them. I can't deny it as I have bought a few cars that were what I had in High School. I do like the new tech cars but would prefer still to this date, pop a hood and work on it. Nowadays it's Hilux, moto and now my ATV. I will never give up wrenching on things. It's relaxing. My wife's car is the sit down and start car, boring bur it serves a purpose
