These two were at the exercise park on Wednesday, this afternoon they've moved about 500m, nearer our house (not my own pic, off our local Facebook) guessing they've lost their way home as there's an aviary with I think 16 macaws a little further along at the indoor football Hooligan Arena.

There was an Australian racehorse which was named Drongo after the bird species. The racehorse was woefully unsuccessful, which is where the antipodean pejorative word Drongo comes from.

They were having a ball in the sunshine today perched on the balcony railing and swooping out to catch bees from my hanging bee nests.

Gorgeous irridescent shimmering on their plumage (I guess that is what spangled means in Strayan patois).

Cockatoos swooped in at dawn to try and raid my succulents

But I was out on the balcony like a shot to shoo them off my prize pot-plants

They are not shy and just stared at at me vacantly as I walked up to them perched on the railing but eventually decided to reconvene on the roof at their own leisurely and noisy pace

A BOOMERang would be more eco-friendly. Ask one of your older, predujiced neighbours if they have one.

Not only reusable, but HR would give it a thumbs up for cultural inclusion. Win-win for everyone except the squawking parrots.

The drongos are back!

Sometime last year we had a pair of Drongos in our wild area by the water monitor pond; and this week, two drongos.

Maybe the same couple. Or not.
