Sounds funny, but looking at the video it is far from it.

I'm perplexed as to why a brawl between black and white folk in a historically racist state causes you mirth. I'm genuinely interested in what you think it funny about it?

The actual fight is not what is funny. It is the commentary from the bystanders that made me laugh.

Also, this was not a street fight anyone was armed for. It was impromptu.

Strange one. Its a 2 man fight until 6 white guys jump in. Then the 2nd black guy in with the black shirt actually tries to break it up and deescalate for a bit. It could have died down from there but the original black guy takes another run at his opponent and it all starts again.

This one had me chuckling too....

An Oldham family who missed out on the trip of a lifetime thanks to a tiny passport flaw have spoken of their devastation.

Suzanne Senior, her husband Steven, their daughter Bethany and her boyfriend were all supposed to fly out to Thailand on Friday (August 4). The family forked out Ł7,000 for the holiday and couldn’t wait to explore the islands around Phuket.

But their excitement was quickly cut short when a Qatar Airways employee noticed a defect in Bethany’s passport. They were attempting to check into their flight when the staff member spotted a small rip on the 24-year-old's photo ID page.

The employee refused to accept the damaged document, meaning Bethany was not allowed to fly.

Suzanne and Steven decided to stay behind with their daughter while her boyfriend chose to travel to Thailand alone.

    And this:

A 44-year-old Thai man was violently attacked by 10 drunken macaques when he was walking on a road that passes the top of a cliff in the Ranong area, Khao Niwet, Thailand.
The gang of monkeys attacked him and pushed him off the cliff that descends 50 metres to the nearest road.
The man suffered several wounds and was bleeding profusely.
Locals attributed this attack to the drunkenness of the monkeys, who used to steal bottles of liquor from a store in the area, according to media reports.

A "Not quite World News" article……..

‘It was a big catch’: Tampa mayor finds 70 pounds of cocaine during Keys fishing trip

During a fishing trip with her family in late July, Tampa Mayor Jane Castor caught more than just lobster.

In an interview with Nexstar’s WFLA, Castor spoke about how she discovered a large shipment of cocaine in the Florida Keys while on her trip.

Castor said the protective seal around the cocaine, marked with a butterfly, had begun splitting apart. From what she could tell, there were 24 tightly wrapped kilos inside the bale.

U.S. Border Patrol agents also came out to take the narcotics into their custody.

According to the U.S. Border Patrol, Castor ended up helping agents seize 70 pounds of cocaine in total. The drugs had an estimated street value of $1.1 million.

“It was a big catch,” Castor said.

My daughter sent me a line note asking if we had won. I don’t shop at Publix or have ever visited Neptune Beach.

A single winning ticket was sold for Tuesday night's record estimated $1.58 billion Mega Millions jackpot, lottery officials said. It was purchased at a Publix supermarket in Neptune Beach, Florida. Neptune Beach is on the Atlantic coast, near Jacksonville.

    The winning numbers were 13, 19, 20, 32, 33, and a Mega Ball of 14.

Hawk drops snake on woman - and both animals attack her
    10 Aug, 2023

A Texan gardener says she is “relieved to be alive” after being attacked by a snake that fell from the sky – and a hawk that swooped down to reclaim its prey. Peggy Jones, 64, was mowing her lawn when the passing hawk dropped its dinner directly on to her.

The serpent quickly coiled itself around her arm and bit her repeatedly. The hawk then joined the melee, attacking Jones’ arm as it tried in vain to untangle the snake. “It [the snake] was starting to dart at my face...and he was striking my glasses and he just kept on and kept on,” she said. "I just couldn’t get rid of the snake… I think I went into survival mode.”

Jones said she had suffered deep bite and talon wounds, as well as smashed glasses which she said had been covered in snake venom. Eventually, the hawk was able to pull the snake off Jones’ arm, leaving her husband to take her to the hospital.

This is supposed to be a socalled "Cosmic Cattle Repellent Device" (read hat).

Might be good for low altitude snakes also
