Went for a wander round Burleigh heads national park

    Where did you go today?-20230907_181031-jpg

Stumbled upon a secluded little cliff-top eagles-nest dogging spot complete with lightly soiled blanket

    Burleigh is a selfie haven

Interesting to note the anthropological evolutionary divergence in stature between the curvaceous islanders and the skinny asians - both races equally absorbed by their phones while surrounded by beauteous Burleigh

    Where did you go today?-20230907_183000-jpg

The last time I saw phone torches on the beach was Thais going crabbing on Phuket at night, which was also the first time ever saw a phone torch, about 12 years ago.

Stopped in at my student rental to use the sauna on the way home and almost branded myself with the mark of The Lord. Do not wear metal necklaces in an 80c sauna!

It was like the opening scene of a porn-movie.

I asked her of she was merkin and she - no, she was from Hawaii. I did not query the small detail that I thought Hawaii was actually part of merka. She was very amiable and smiley, but less than half my age and the porn movie plot did not unfold according to the script in my dreams so I went to cool off in the icy chill outdoor winter pool.

Wife and I did a run around the Lampang/ Lamphun area to various ceramic pottery places to pick up some planters for the place. Had a nice lunch, stopped and enjoyed a nice afternoon coffee.

It wasn't in the cheapest seats. Showed up a little late with no ticket. I wasn't going to get pricey on short notice. The angle or something seems to be better here compared to Vancouver. Way louder speakers too. Too loud actually

Going to an Oilers game is actually on my bucket list.

I didn't think you could get tickets on the door.

Surely you would want to be looking over the plastic rather than through it (rinkside)?

Do they sell beer? Are fans segregated? Do the fans fight outside?

Do sell pies or is it all hot dogs, corndogs and twinkies?

Can still be done 50 rows below cheap charlies seats. But the glass doesn't really hinder your vision, and that's where the body checks happen.

I didn't even know myself if I could get tickets at the door. Probably just for pre season though. The glass doesn't make much difference. The upper bowl seats seem to offer a better view than they do in Vancouver.

Lots of beer. Between periods I went for a walk and there was beer sales everywhere and lots to eat. A craft beer and a pizza slice was $23 or $17 USD. There are some fights but usually in the playoffs

Looks like a fun time! Did Van end up winning? Had a laugh at some of Dirk's questions.. are fans segregated? No siree. They don't sell pies or twinkies. Hot dogs, pizza, nachos, hamburgers are a few things I've seen at a few games I went to. Lots of beer for sure!

There were certainly less genders and the pronouns that one had to use.

I imagine, not actually having existed in the 70's.
