^I would bring/ wear Shiva & Vishnu bracelets/ amulets too, but then I remembered that it's against my religion. (thou shall not have other gods)

This Friday/ weekend is looking like it will be sunny. The weekend prior to my hike was also sunny. My friends and I had the bad luck to hike on a wet & stormy weekend. If it had been a sunny weekend during my hike, I would probably have pics similar to that ^^ at the summit of Mt Irid, the leechy mountain.

Don't get me wrong Katie, I fully understand the reasoning and the advantages of the sandals for such a hike and I respect your bravery.

The very thought of hiking is sandals absolutely terrifies me. The amount of snakes, scorpions, centipedes etc that I've encountered on hash runs...

I could have gone viral on tik-tok if someone had filmed my 'showered-in-red-ants dance' while cutting back my pomelo tree this morning.

They should be proudly on display in sandals, not hidden away inside hiking shoes. Don't listen to Dirk!
