Ha!
I’ve a brother with the same hobby.
Nerds, huh?
Good to know your brother has released his inner nerd MissKit...
2 of my 6 figures had an accident when the storm blew in this evening and knocked the lights out.
The windows were open and the wind blew them over so they had their lights knocked out too.
Looks like the aftermath of a Sat'day neet Nazi Party Maidenführerin Ingrid would prefer to forget - say no more...
Jurgen the Luftwaffe Leutnant looks like me trying to learn how to rollerblade on tri-skates
Kristallnacht mate.
Sigh. Disappointed. I thought it was about Looper in heels.
Loops, I don't know if you'll do better than this guy. He got the moves right. Kudos to him!
P. S. I've got a colleague whose hobby is collecting & assembling those robot Gundam toys. He's got some of them displayed on his desk.
We're not entirely sure what to think about men that like dolls downunda.
I never thought of the Silence of the Lambs angle with the moths Joe. I might run with that one if you don't mind.
Meanwhile on the island benchtop...
Nevah in the field of kitchen conflict has such a smorgasbord of spitfires been unleashed in the name of freedom and democracy
Mk I star of the Battle of Britain leading the honours
The Mark IX on the left was reputedly the best and pilot's favourite
A rare Mk XII with Griffon engine on the right
The 2 blade propeller behind the Mk I was K5054 the Mk 0 Spitfire prototype which was the only spitfire that RJ Mitchell ever saw in flight before he passed away in 1937
Their finest hour parade would also not be complete without a workmanlike Hurricane hero bringing up the rear
Beautiful detailing on the Mk XII
This is what The Inner Nerd is talking about when he says weathering, lovely
Some undercarriage pornography for the hardcore fans
Possibly the most iconic aeroplane in the history of aviation is the Spitfire with the Vulcan bomber a close second then followed by the A380.
I've owned several spitfire models over the years and spent weeks with my eldest making a paper mache Vulcan for a school project that won.
As for the A380, it was luxury air travel at its finest and my most enjoyable flight out of hundreds of different flights.
Apart from that mile high session with an Aussie bird on Lauda Air.Oh and that session in Aeroflot club class over Angola. What happens in the air stays in the air.
Then again this is all open to peeps personal preference and history...

Shalom
An icon indeed, at the timeless pinnacle of design aesthetic in aeronautics, like the E-type in motoring.
More weathering wizardry on this more workmanlike Wildcat
Every rivet picked out, even through the decals, making them look painted on, which is a pro-build hallmark
Would be even better if I had not dropped the canopy on the floor before hoovering the kitchen
Time to pick through the bag of assorted fluff
Eh wot?!
Flew on one once and said never again.
Didn't listen.
Flew on one twice, said never again.
Listened.
From seeing all Looper's pics I'm tempted to ask me mum if she's still got me Airfix collection of about 3. The F117 was beaut. To think, must have bought it 1/3 of a century ago, and still looks completely modern.
Really? I liked the A380, the few times I've flown it. Much quieter, and no problem with the seats etc. Would even pay a wee bit more for the privilege.
^ me too and much better than the 737 Max
