Who had a Raleigh Street Wolf?
It had a box and a thumb button that made cool noises n stuff. There was also a Wild Cat version.
Google tells me it it was a 1987 model, which rightly puts me at 4 years old.
Check the awesomeness:

Thread: What bicycles have you had over the years?
Still got the same hard on for Bsnub you had as NPT? Give it a rest this is about bicycles if you have a look.
Put me off about posting about my bikes.
Dude they are clueless. Did you know that Gary Turner started building bikes again?

I was always jealous of kids with Raleigh Choppers
or their poorer cousin the Raleigh Grifter
Ref BMX, it always looked odd to me with tiny bikes and big teens/young adults dwarfing then, looked they'd out grown them
There's a bare frame on ebay for £1,450

Damned if I can find a picture, but I had a 3-speed red Raleigh bike for Christmas in the mid 60's and kept it for years. It was the best Chrsitmas present of my childhood.
Those choppers came out later and were for the little kids, no way you'd get a girl ride on the crossbar of one of those in my day...
The bike I have now is only the third bike I've owned, it's still quite young, next year is its tenth birthday.
They had very comfy saddles, the gear lever was on the cross bar so you'd have to slip your hand between said girls legs to get it into second
They were a blood nightmare stability wise and the centre of gravity was somewhere over the back wheel and you'd flip the thing easily.

Put some miles in on my Raleigh Grifter back in the day.
Gangs of us, all out the house all day cycling everywhere.
Started cycling again 10 years ago when a mate gave me his old mountain bike, best present anyone has ever given me as it got me back into it.
Shalom
I never had a "new" bike, we used to build them from bits and pieces, paint strip them and respray from a can. Got the money to buy second hand bikes by hunting golf balls in the water traps at the local golf club.![]()
I had a Raleigh Burner
Worth a few quid now and they even brought out a new limited edition in 2019 for £600

Not a photo of my bike but just like it. Loved that thing. Wish I could find a women’s three speed now.

My first bike had training wheels. I rode it for years after the trainers were off. I can still remember the terrible racket it made.![]()
^ Go second hand Kitt, the last few i have had i bought second hand and spent peanuts servicing them, got a magnesium alloy racer for a fraction of a new one and the older ones had better build quality.
