I've often thought about it, but unfortunately the nearest I ever got was when I used to walk down the track home, as a shortcut in South Yorkshire.....
I like watching videos on it though , you just can't beat that clickerty clack soundtrack.
Vagrant Holiday did more than think about it, enjoyable ride, but i like his sleeping rough in the bushes videos more..



Or this Russian lad... yeah I think a coal wagon would be the cool way to go, wonderful black stuff.
They aren't afraid to mine and use it over there either.

I think the days of catching free rides on freight trains and living the vagrant life is around c80 years in the past, eh?

^We would do it as kids. If we were lucky we would catch an empty caboose and get flares and boom caps. Wasn’t 80 years ago.
