Recently I visited the Southernmost part of Australia and drove a car back to Queensland, and the owner just informed me that they have received a speeding fine in the mail. Apparently I was doing a tad over 120 kph in (presumably) a 100 zone. I gave the owner my details.
However it is a frigging lot of money ...$ 320. Well, screw them ! The Victorian government is notorious for being cnuts with speed fines. So when the fine is redirected to me, I am thinking of telling them something like "another guy was driving it".
This will, of course, fall on deaf ears..... unless I do something sneaky like look up death notices here in Queensland and choose a recently deceased guy, and say that he came back from Victoria in my car.
Can this go tits-up ?
As far as I can see, the only problem is finding someone whose presence or absence here was not noticeable, and COULD have been in Victoria for some reason, unbeknown to his family, and shared the driving back. Perhaps some recently-deceased homeless guy, if I can find one ?
