Ok, then we have to go back to the days when PIs knocked down bedroom doors and took photos of adulterous couples.

I think you will find that they dont have alimony for allowing women to sit around with their Gucci handbags.Originally Posted by mrsquirrel

The case you posted there is obviously was obviously a miscarriage of justice which was put right.
Good idea. If you want to have affairs, either don't get married, get divorced first or make sure your spouse is into swinging before you get marriedOriginally Posted by Lily

As far as I know. It's ilegal to have an affair in Korea, why there is so much secrecy at the love hotels.

I hope you are right Lily but this guy genuinely believes this to be the case.
He is going through all the hassle of setting up a trust fund and putting all his assets in it to protect them after hearing all his other mates' horror stories.
It certainly seems to be the case that deFacto's can get into your bank account after it all goes pear shaped. There is no marriage certificate required. The legal definition of deFacto seems to be the part that is worrying him. It seems to include girlfriends who sleep over several nights a week but still have their own place. This is where he says guys are apparently coming unstuck without realising it. You have a legal deFacto if you co-habit. In order to co-habit she doesnt have to be sleeping over 7 nights a week.Originally Posted by Lily
I think you will find that it is a lot longer than a couple of months of going out or sleeping with someone and it would not include assets from before the defacto relationship.Originally Posted by Looper

Regardless of who is the partner who cheats in past law , the "no fault" divorce laws of today, combined with very healthy financial rewards for the woman have resulted in a big rise in divorces and overwhelmingly at the request of the women involved. If I had a son I would council him to avoid marriage an/or defacto relationships. Unfortunately, I know it would be in vain as its natures way for men and women to get together. Luckily I only have a daughter. So odds are she will come out well on top if she decides to walk. It goes against my grain, but blood is thicker than water.
