One of my top ten movies of all time!
I have had quite a bit of Monthly cheer
My flymo and dyson animal vac both packed up after the wife used them for the first time this year
There was a month warranty left on the mower and flymo sent a new one out within 3 days and told me to throw the other away when I told them smoke came out of the motor...The motor is nearly as dear as the mower...Anyway...Result!
Had to make 3 calls to Indian call centres to get a new vac body out of Dyson. Each person told me a different story...The warranty had run out on that too...Result.
The nipper lost her airpods and we couldn't find them so bought a new pair, then found them in the car so sent the new ones straight back...Result
Dropped my phone in the bath. The wife shoved it in a bowl of rice, then the next day I couldn't plug the charger in and I could see why.. There was a grain of Jasmine rice lodged in there, so I got it out with a dart and fucked it up. It still charges wirelessly but not such a result seeing i spunked a good chunk on a fragile folding phone that I'm scared to take out the house![]()
^ Sounds like a dodgy story to me...
I don't believe you have baths!
But anyway, my Samsung phone occasionally gets this alarm when I plug in the charger saying that there's damp in the charging port and to dry the phone out before charging. This can happen by just having the phone in my pocket when sweating in this God awful climate, and it always seems to happen when the battery is almost out of charge.
I've tried rice, blowing in the charging port and even the daughter's hair dryer, but nothing works and it takes an age to dry out. And then a guy at work let me into the secret... your phone charging port will be full of pocket fluff... same as a belly button, and this fluff holds moisture for an age. Once you remove all that fluff from the port it will dry out really quickly.
But... don't use a dart, use a wooden toothpick and all will be OK.
^ The wife will eat none else...it's rare I eat any rice.
It all tastes bland to me
You can't beat a good spud.
Cheers for that, shall remember next time
I bought a new phone, a Galaxy Fold 6. I say new, it's one that was opened box and sold as nearly new so got it for 769 quid instead of 1799.
Samsung will offer near that to trade in on their new fold in July.
I'm not too sure about it yet, the camera is not as good as on the Ultra and some apps off my old phone don't work on it.
Great for watching porn in laybys with the easy down joggers on though
The old phone still works too and is now my home, bath and photo uploading tool.
^ Two phones.
Well decadent!
