I still stand that all these Attaboys and big parties and celebrations are why children nowadays feel entitled.

In the working world they go in expecting big raises, big pats on back because they were at a company 5 years oor so. Doesn't matter how well they performed, just survive and expect a raise.....why? Well because they went through school getting awards and rewards for meeting basic requirements.

    That's me completely convinced.

Goodbye parties at the end of primary school are the tools of the devil. They results in poor personal productivity after half a decade in employment decades later.

Well Mao. Being frank. I think you were born some silver spoon type. Didn't have to achieve much, just wait out some pay out. Just basic expectations. Why you have no idea how to raise children and motivate them through activities to become successful adults.

Maybe you shouldn't take this debate with an american.

    They are brought up differently.

An example is the "Abstinence Ring" that Stumpy wore while engaged to his sweetheart.

No Pussy awarded until the wedding night.

With that in mind, I see his point

Quite silly Helge but whatever you want to believe.

That said, do you have children? Did you rear them through school? Did you teach them. Show them. Lead by example.

Love to hear your trials and tribulations.

    Holy Sheet.

    Chitty + Stumpy together.

It's like Operation Chrome Dome in the 1960's, but with alcoholics drinking alone, rather than pilots flying B-52s.

Stumpy does 10am-10pm, then Chitty takes over for the next 12 hours. 24 hours covered. God speed.

This Peugeot 208 hire car is amazing.

Instead of the normal fuel gauge it constantly gives your range in miles. When I picked it up on Tuesday it had 180 miles range left and it just kept on going with hardly a change. At home I can watch the fuel gauge on my thirsty 3 litre Vigo go down as I get stuck in Korat traffic.

Every day I discover something different. Today I realised that there is a constant display of the current speed limit on the speedometer. And I've been watching and it adjusts as you pass new speed limit signs! How does it do that?

And a bit later I had a 'low fuel' warning, and the satnav automatically turned on with all the petrol stations in the area displayed.

    Bloody amazing.

I have a car that parks itself. It scares the shit out of me. You basically press a button and all the available parking spots come up on the screen. Choose the spot you want, stick it in reverse, and take your hands off the wheel and feet off the pedals whilst it works it magic.

I've only used it a handful of times when the spots are really tight.
    Black diamonds? I shit 'em.

^ That sounds pretty cool Bogon.

My Vigo back in Korat has an option that tells you when to slow down or speed up, when it's safe or not to pull out, tells which route to take, which lane to be in and when to change lanes, and even when or not to indicate.

Yeah... the 'taking the wife along' option.

I rarely use it, to be honest!

    ^ Green owed

My wife has a habit of telling me how to drive when I'm behind the wheel. She soon shuts her cakehole when I remind her it was me who taught her.

Wouldn't it be safer not to drive it in the first place then, parking being the least of anyone's worries?
