I've been looking at long boat holidays in Oxford and it looks great tbh. One off my bucket list. I knew they did them along the Kennet and Avon Canal but not up there.

A 2 week holiday coming up and, having looked at the work calendar, I have at least a long weekend off every month for the rest of the year apart from September!

A favourite noodle restaurant for lunch.

Chopsticks and spoons on the table as per the norm.


Upon serving of the dishes the kid decides to copy some cartoon she saw and insists I follow along.

This involved:

Taking one chopstick in one fist and jabbing it down into the noodles.
Taking the other chopstick in one's other fist and doing the same.
Keeping both fists elevated one pushes them together and switches to an open palm grip, with both chopsticks gripped between both palms.
One then pushes one's palms against each other which kind of twirls up the noodles at the end of the chopsticks.

Keeping the top of the chopsticks gripped between both palms, you turn your hands 90 degrees so the chopsticks are horizontal, before dipping your head down at a 90 degree angle past your hands, to catch any noodles still on the end of the chopsticks.


less than a minute later 2 service staff came down and politely held out 2 forks, with a look of pity and 'the farangs cannot comprehend how to use chopsticks'.

Well Nev the truth is a lot less exciting than Syb makes it out to be. I was using the phone whilst sat enjoying a beer i tapped my login name and used my finger print to logon not registering NPT was the logon name first on my list. Hey presto we have a Syb story on NPT excess
