I think the story of the Leceister would be far more interesting, and how they murdered the mad king

fyi....there's a documentary on the making of season 8. obviously don't watch it until you've seen the finale.

it focuses primarily on the production crew and the logistics involved in putting it all together. it's two hours, which IMO was about an hour too long...but there were some interesting parts. i suppose it depends on how much you geek out on the show.

it's listed on torrent sites as "game of thrones s08e00 the last watch"

The actors themselves are having withdraw effects

Kit Harington: Game of Thrones star getting help for 'personal issues'
    https://www.bbc.com/news/newsbeat-48442474

Game of Thrones star Kit Harington has checked into a "wellness retreat" in the US, reportedly for stress.

The actor - who's known for playing Jon Snow - began getting treatment several weeks ago, according to Page Six.

His publicist told Radio 1 Newsbeat that Kit was working on "some personal issues."

In a recent interview Kit spoke of "a huge heave of emotion" after filming the final scenes of Game of Thrones, which he worked on for eight seasons.

In a different interview - the 32-year-old actor told Esquire what it was like filming Jon Snow's final scenes.

He said: "The final day of shooting, I felt fine... I felt fine... I felt fine... Then I went to do my last shots and started hyperventilating a bit.

"Then they called, 'Wrap!' And I just... broke down. It was this onslaught of relief and grief about not being able to do this again."

A documentary about the end of Game of Thrones called The Last Watch was released on Sunday.

It showed Kit crying when he learned about his character's ending.

so got to watch it, thanks for the recommendation

very emotional obviously, but well done overall I thought, and not that long actually, 2h was perfect, and you can watch it in two go

though I think they could have slowed things a bit and added at least 3 or 4 episodes of 1h30 each

the epic Episode 3 for the Battle of the NightKing was too quick, should have lasted at least 3 episodes as it was so important

same with the before last episode, at least 2 episodes, not 1, and the finale should have lasted with 2

Fuck all really happened in the final episode.
    Kill the Mad Queen.
Prisoner decides who the new king will be.
    Thats about it.
    A complete failure.

you missed the whole poetic justice of it all, what were you expecting? Jon Snow and the mad Queen living happily ever after

It was dumb that a 8 season epic war for the throne, just in the last episide they decide to go with democracy.

Even dumber, that one woman says "nope, the north is staying independant" and everyone else just agrees.

It seemed like the writers just got bored.

it was the best possible ending, the book was not finished, and the producers didn't want GoT to jump the shark like most series do when running too long and too thin

remember how LOST ending was bad and the final season was a complete disaster?

without the book, they didn't have the inspiration to continue, so they extrapolated the ending

but yeah Season 8 could have been longer, and it was very emotional

I still think it will no go the way of star wars with lots of spin offs, already doing a prequel and I'm sure other stuff will follow as a lucrative market for it.
