You're missing the point Simon.
Do women have to eat food according to men's (some men's) desire for their body image?
If you think about it, Western men's requirements for women's body shape is no different to radical Islam requirements for women's appearance (hidden).
Is it all about how men think?
There is a slight difference. If a woman in radical islam, or rather most of Islam does not conform she is mostly dead or beaten into submission.Quote:

I really do not care about fat models, dwarves, or freaks in general.
But will you ever see them advertising macca's, or KFC? Kinda doubt that.
^^It is about how men think, and men and women are allowed to find certain sizes appealing no matter. Attraction is a matter of preference as we see from some of the comments on this thread.
Women and men should be comfortable being who they are no matter their size. I believe the catwalk should represent different sizes and shapes as that represents the western world we live in. The skinny model you see on the runway (usually skin and bones) doesn't represent the majority of western women. This is what the article is talking about.
Women's appearance is driven by what other women think not what one guy in Thailand thinks. Women dress to impress other women.Quote:

I agree with what Simon says about the food on offer in the supermarket but people do not have to live on chips and sugar. There is a fruit and vegetable section. Again it is calories in vs. calories out.
I'm sure there are classes in schools where the equation is mentioned. Walking so many kms equals X calories, One super sized coke equals X + calories but obviously it is easier not to listen.
That being said there are even cultures where women are fattened up for marriage like prized animals.
We now live in a society where one gets a prize for participating because there should be no losers. Just because standards overall in everything seem to be dropping to include everyone, doesn't mean it is normal.
My brother worked with many young muslims. He has seen himself that a young woman came back from a Turkey holiday with her family with a broken rib and newly married. She has been very vocal before that she would never marry a man back in Turkey. There were other cases he has seen. It is an every day occurence wether you like it or not.
most are aware that domestic abuse is not isolated to families which practice islam.
let's not allow yet another thread to be hijacked by those promoting islamophobia.
a reminder of the topic...
Australia: Do obese models send the wrong message?
Female abuse is higher in Islamic societies, Ray Gun.
And there is no such thing as "islamophobia."
Yes, let's get back to big-boned Aussie models.
Yeah. My bird sent me a text saying she wants my 9'' cock up her.Quote:

Fat bitch
There is a difference between domestic violence and beating your daughter into marriage. But blind Islamophiles won't see it. Nobody is more blind than those who don't want to see.Quote:

Rubbish. The idea is just promoted by Islamaphobic media and media beholden to certain Western interests. Non-Muslim domestic abuse is rife world wide...look at Thailand.Quote:

The article has a point, if we could get back to the article for a minute.
Australia should be showing a variety of clothes on a catwalk, because women come in all shapes and sizes and many are not the skin and bones as shown in the right hand photo.
They don't have to do anything, but personally I don't know anyone that finds gluttony attractive. You have to take care of yourself to find a mate, or rather have the best chance of finding a mate. Don't be a fatty then wail about how you can't find anyone "up to your standard" for example.
White fatties can always find a black guy - they seem to love the rolls of flab
she's bored with the 8" strap-on already?...Quote:

The media has railed against wafer thin models, and now they are having a dig at obesity on the catwalk. Thats just typical media hypocrisy.
Women use fitness and diet to maintain an attractive shape. Some have to try harder than others, and some don't give a toss either way.
The ones who care about their appearance, do so because capturing a viable mate is a competitive business. Just look at how many women let themselves go once the hunt is over. Women automatically compare themselves to other women, because they are weighing up the competition.
Its easier for an slim attractive woman to find her prey, thats a fact. Others have to rely on guile, experience and personality.
Sadly, many of the model girls are seriously lacking in the personality department, so they end up as trophy wives. The catwalk is just a cheap sales pitch. Why waste huge swathes of material on obese women, when you can do it with skinny models at half the price?
Worry not dear lady, there are still some men around who understand the difference.
Good hunting. ;)
I admire your research, but couldn't find the footnotes...many of the women at my fitness center appear to focus on regular routines that promote healthy bodies rather than sexy ones...Quote:
