^ Dang it only 480p. Would have been nice in 1080p.

^ I look forward to it. What a beautiful spot that is.
Yeah Great Pic Tiz. See you have cam set at 2.7k. Seems we have the same issue with over exposure.
I have played extensively with camera settings and did numerous flights and I feel like I am chasing my tail. Other option is using an editor like many do to clean them up. I have found that a really crisp clean pic depends on angle like a smart phone and of course some luck.
Keep sharing.
I am not sure what camera settings are on those but this is an excellent guide to get overexposure under control.
Overexposed | Digital Photography Terms
This one is 720p...
Its extracted from the phone's cached copy, the bird still has the higher definition version.

big scandal over DIJI having a kill switch of your drone if you are told to upgrade your software and you don't
they basically owns you
only on the Spark (so far)
Maybe not such a bad idea to force an upgrade..."some Spark owners have been complaining that their drones have been falling out of the sky mid-flight, and many suspected the issue to be related to the battery’s firmware."
http://www.coptersafe.com/ Copter safe can fix that issue...Wink wink.
However to Tiz's point, For knuckleheads they should be forced to update.
How ia XP working for you butters?Originally Posted by Dragonfly

First attempt at using Lightworks.
I only have an old underpowered Windoze laptop here with me, so the processing is very slow and tedious.
Might need to update my Mac when I get back to PH.
Still need some practice trying to film and fly at the same time....
I have succumbed to using Youtube for the near term. Here is a quick video near Racha Island.
The video was shot at 2.7K. Again hard with water glare. Filters are on order.
Here was my first flight with my Mavic in Napa California. Remote very sensitive as can be seen.
It takes a lot of practice to do smooth camera pans while flying.
I found the only way I can do it so far is by using the waypoints feature.
I think playing with the settings more might make it a bit easier, but it's sure difficult to do on the default settings.
I agree Tiz. My P3 was much easier and the camera location helped alot. The Mavic is very quick and responsive. I have been told they have a sensitivity control for the sticks that reduce it being so fast.
I did some flights yesterday working on technique. Videos look so much better. Of course they aren't of anything but a big field so will not post.
I did fly it up nearly 1000m for fun.
Picked up some ND filters. Starting with OEM DJI deals. There are numerous others out there but are harder to get.
Hope to do some vids this weekend.
Just a bit of fun, out in the boonies on the weekend.
Filmed at the primary school that my lady went to when she was a kid.
Thanks for sharing the vid You know TM, Once you learn the flight controls to make a more controlled scenic vid then comes the editing to make the video flow and look professional. Lots to learn but fun as hell.
I hope the weather is nice as I plan on flying this weekend using the new ND filters and the sensitivity adjustments for the flight movement adjusted to be slower. I probably screwed up and made too many adjustments....
I find the control very easy to use, took me 10min to figure it out
why would it take you longer ?
Well anyone can fly them, the controls are super easy. However I am talking about flight techniques to give a very nice stable cinematic video. I used to fly them to fly them, now I am playing with settings to slow down gimbal action and lever controls to be less jerky.
you need to follow a Film crash course to fly a drone now

Is it just me or did the background colours change between Posts # 64 and # 65 ?
