Nah. Its not the 1990's anymore. The US and Russia both had their fair share of fuckups. There will be only one Belgrod sub. As I said, it exists to convince the US to get back into arms treaties that it keeps walking out of. Russia's new main attack submarine is the Yasen class. Its a fairly standard sized boat. Russia has always had more automation on its subs like torpedo auto loaders which is why its crews are smaller.
In October 2014, one of the U.S. Navy's top submarine officers, Rear Admiral Dave Johnson, the Naval Sea Systems Command's program executive officer (PEO) for submarines, said "We’ll be facing tough potential opponents. One only has to look at the Severodvinsk, Russia’s version of a nuclear guided missile submarine (SSGN). I am so impressed with this ship that I had Carderock build a model from unclassified data".
The Belgrod is just one spec ops sub. The biggest sub ever, with one still in service is the Typhoon class. It had a swimming pool, sauna, weight room, games room and arcade. 510,000 horsepower.

The end of this video might surprise you

They aren't all attack subs though. Mostly small ones for dropping off spies and kidnapping the odd Japanese person.

A couple of subs with ballistic missile launching capabilities, the rest are mainly small coastal subs.
Don't underestimate the small diesel electric subs, they are a pig to find...
Unless they are Dutch ones having a BBQ off the Cornish coast
Submarine crew seen enjoying barbecue on deck off Cornwall
A Dutch submarine crew was spotted enjoying the Easter weekend sun and tucking into a BBQ just off the Cornish coast.
The seaman were spotted by eagle-eyed locals at Mount’s Bay relaxing topside on the subaqueous watercraft, as reported by CornwallLive.
At first it was suspected the vessel might be British, but online sleuths quickly ascertained the submarine’s true identity as a diesel powered boat from the Dutch navy.
The crew of the vessel even tweeted pictures of themselves enjoying their food off the coast and a video with music playing as dolphins swam alongside the submarine in the blazing sunshine.

Actually, talking about stealth, plans were drawn for drone subs with composite materials for the UK.
If you are interested there's some overview and links on UK subs here, and the wider Navy, its not necessarily sanctioned

Seppo does a video tour of Russian Delta 2 SSBN
The tower is being lowered on. China's first proper catapult super carrier has taken shape.
Compare it with a Ford carrier. Configuration looks very much the same. Angled hull in the front, rectangled in the aft. Elevators is in the same place.
Ford on the left
Artist impression of the Type 003 carrier. Probably pretty close to the final version.
I think the Type 003 is a better looking boat than the Ford. The ford looks like a container ship bc the tower is mounted far back. The Type 003's tower is mid mounted

Older tech, but, for me, still interesting ...
Russia says it successfully tested hypersonic missile praised by Putin
MOSCOW, July 19 (Reuters) - Russia said on Monday it had successfully tested a Tsirkon(Zircon) hypersonic cruise missile, a weapon President Vladimir Putin has touted as part of a new generation of missile systems without equal in the world.
The defence ministry said in a statement that the missile had been fired from the Admiral Gorshkov, a warship located in the White Sea, and travelled at around seven times the speed of sound before hitting a ground target on the coastline of the Barents Sea more than 350 km (217 miles) away.
"The tactical and technical characteristics of the Tsirkon missile were confirmed during the tests," the ministry said.
Some Western experts have questioned how advanced Russia's new generation of weapons is, while recognising that the combination of speed, manoeuvrability and altitude of hypersonic missiles makes them difficult to track and intercept.
Russia plans to fit the Tsirkon missile system to its submarines and surface ships.
Putin announced an array of new hypersonic weapons in 2018 in one of his most bellicose speeches in years, saying they could hit almost any point in the world and evade a U.S.-built missile shield.

When it comes to tanks you cannot hold a candle to the Russians. Ever since the T-34 swarmed hitler all the way back to Berlin the Russkies have taken their tanks seriously.
Seen here inbetween a WWII US M3 Stuart and a Panzer IV is the monster bonkers T-14 Armata
Designed within the last decade it is the first next generation tank to feature a fully computerised unmanned turret. The crew just have to get the beast within range and then point the turret in approximately the right direction. Once the computer acquires visual on the target it automates everything about aiming and elevation.
The main armament is an eye-watering 125mm barrel with a 152mm weapon already planned for an upgrade
The T-14 sets the standard for the next generation of main battle tanks
