A recent thread on Austrian politics brought this Tyrollean ditty to mind. Actually, they're a very talented band:

    Patch ... drop the needle

    ^^ LT ... great find.

That classic song has a different meaning for me.

It's a central clip in the Movie Planes 2 Fire and Rescue

I don't mind watching this one with the kids and the volume gets turned up.

The first time I saw this was stoned as fuck with a mate of a mate who turned out to be a detective sergeant in the Brisbane drug squad. (which explains why he always had the best shit).

I had to watch it 3 times in a row to believe it was as good as I first thought it was.

    She caught the Katy.
(Left me a mule to ride)

Still crazy 'bout that hard headed woman o' mine.

I find myself occasionally immersed in nostalgia at this time of year, thinking of all the memories that Christmas produces.

I remember quite some years ago, my ex wife and I were doing some Christmas shopping, and had become separated.

She phoned me, asking where I was.

I said 'remember that jewellers where you saw that ring that you really loved, and I said that one day I would get it for you'?

There was a moments silence and I could almost hear her gulp as she said quietly, 'yes'.

'Well, I'm in the pub next door'.

Not amusing, not black and white and not mine. I just like it. Boeing 377 Stratocruiser. Wheels up pretty low.

From a time when air travel was a novelty and only for the upper crust. I wonder where that was and how many aircraft took off that day.
And who was on the airoplane.

    Nice picture.

With a little research I found that it is a photo of a Boeing 377 Stratocruiser taken in 1954 at IDL airport. I assume IDL airport is John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, which was formerly called Idlewild Airport before being renamed in 1963.

Most people eat chocolate biscuits upside down. The chocolate is actually on the bottom.
NOT A LOT OF PEOPLE KNOW THAT
