    Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to all the Canucks...

    Monday, October 10th...

I think that USA has the best approach...Always on a Thursday in November...And "everyone" takes the whole week off...

How about your neck of the woods?...I know that Korea has Chu-sok which seems fairly similar to Thanksgiving...Everyone and their dog heads to grandma's house or faces the consequences...Like death or dismemberment...

Chuseok (Korean: 추석), originally known as hangawi (한가위 from archaic Korean for "the great middle (of autumn)"(한가위), is a major harvest festival and a three-day holiday in Korea celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar on the full moon. Like many other harvest festivals around the world, it is held around the autumn equinox.

Thanksgiving, or Thanksgiving Day, is an important public holiday, celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November in the United States. It originated as a harvest festival. Thanksgiving has been celebrated nationally on and off since 1789, after a proclamation by George Washington. It has been celebrated as a federal holiday every year since 1863, when, during the American Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed a national day of "Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the Heavens," to be celebrated on the last Thursday in November.

Thanksgiving Day (Jour de l'action de grāce) is an annual Canadian holiday, occurring on the second Monday in October, which celebrates the harvest and other blessings of the past year.

Thanksgiving has been officially celebrated as an annual holiday in Canada since November 6, 1879, when parliament passed a law designating a national day of thanksgiving. The date, however, was not fixed and moved earlier and later in the year, though it was commonly the third Monday in October.

So I admit I have tossed a few back. I will not risk the safety of myself and others. So I stand on my case of dinomite as I hole out here all night.

Wishing you and all a merry merry.

I might be moving to Vancouver soon, gonna be a mental floss tycoon.

Raising it up, waxing it down, in a little white box I can sell uptown.
By myself I wouldn't have no boss, while I was raising my lonley mental floss.

My personal 'thanksgiving day' is any day I open the fridge and there is a cold beer in there.

BTW ... Happy Thanksgiving to all the Canucks ... we Aussies have an affinity with the Maple Leaf Lickers.
