Crabs ain't so bad. It's the scabies that get under your skin. Good luck , fish.
She'll get used to the collar. Just make sure that it is not to loose. If you can keep a small finger between the collar and cat. Then it is tight enough so she won't hang herself, if she goes up a tree.
Frontline is the way to go, on the back of the neck. But on the skin, not just sprayed on the fur.
I wish you lots of joy and happiness with your new found friend!!! Tee Hee.
Can we have a piccie.
A pussy pic would be good for a change...(Sorry)...
Well since you asked here you go. She's a couple of months older now, must get some new ones
In case you're interested I've never been a cat person but I'm definitely a THIS cat person. She has a very distinct personality.
Best I can determine is she is a Bengal cross.

She doesn't have the right markings but otherwise her body and nature are exactly as described. Disproportionately long legs so she jumps and leaps very high and with gracious ease. She has a strange interest in water. Whenever anyone's having a bath or shower she'll find a spot and watch and actually go in the shower stall if she can and if she's locked out she'll sit outside the bathroom yowling to be let in. She's VERY vocal and a very social cat and great with the kids. Loves to play fight and chase but always keeps her claws retracted. She'll pounce out of somewhere as you walk past, give you a good swat and dart away.
My 5 year old daughter carts her around the house like a doll and she tolerates it with that look of peeved resignation.
I always thought cats were kind of aloof and in the background but this one's really right up in your face. Whatever's going on in the house she's got to be right in there, whether it's cooking or fixing or cleaning or the kids doing something there she is, getting involved. Whatever room has the most activity is where she'll be. If not then sitting by the fishtank glaring at the fish. (having spent a LOT of time trying catch them).

Don't let her outside whatever you do.
Cat's can be perfectly happy inside, whether you're home or not. They just need a scratching post, litter box, food bowl (the litter box and food bowl can both be put in the bathroom, although that might not work for you). In any case, the cat will figure out immediately what to do and where. Another cool idea (again, it might not work for you) is to put some pillows and blankets in the bathtub. She'd love that as a bed. Or just buy something like this:
Then buy a climbing pole. They can be pretty extravagant:
Just don't forget the scratching post
