truthfully, would you be completely surprised if next month something called ysc (yardstick coin) came into existence and people on this forum started posting about it?

    i wouldn't.

generally speaking this is true, IMO.

including with buffet and traditional investments.

however, i don't believe it applies to buffet and these crypto-currencies. he's plainly stated that he doesn't understand them enough to buy or short them and that he believes it will end badly. if it were revealed (and it eventually would be) that he had taken a position, it would be considered a pretty big scandal and his reputation would be toast.

as maanaam pointed out, there's no reason for buffet to get involved.....and plenty of reasons not to.

And yet you continually chime in with uneducated wholely ignorant opinion about something you know nothing about, be it Bitcoins, blockchain or piss.

A perfect trifecta, this makes you a winner. Now wait for you paltry paycheck ya wage earning muppet. Cheers!

Me thinks it is yourself you fails to understand the nature of this entirely new phenomena, we call Bitcoin.

You seem to assume you can measure this with the currency concepts of yore. You simply cannot.

We are very truly entering a very new world of finance and personal responsibility outside of government and bankster control.

The old jig is up, and the new age is dawning!

ant, you mentioned you were going to get into cyrpto when back home in nz for christmas.

    what are you holding?

or (more likely): you didn't get in

and like most threads, you don't have an opinion on the topic of the thread and are just continuing to post nonsense/adhom, right?

Pretty sure I didn’t say that actually.

Like most threads you’re misrepresenting what was said and constructing non sequiturs and straw men around it and then stamping your feet when I refuse to play your disingenuous and dumb little games.

and it's exactly what it is, it's a game with invented rules, nothing to do with reality

gamers on platform will actually trade "currencies" and "equipment" at very inflated prices, same principle, protected and limited asset base with virtual rules to set the prices, completely exposed to manipulation and small time traders

Wouldn't surprise me that game devs are heavily invested in crypto algos, for no other reasons that GPU optimization can serve both markets, the mining and their gaming dev frameworks

so, ant: it was the 30% tax on any potential crypto profits that scared you away, right?

If you're going to be calling someone stupid it kinda behooves you not to look stupid by making a stupid grammatical error whist you're doing it, Earl.

the guy has a decent vocabulary (used to flame posters where he's in his element, as it were)

but struggles (really, really struggles) to form an opinion on an issue and back it up in a debate.

Do you understand that your habit of calling others stupid when you constantly demonstrate your own stupidity is, well, stupid.

    That is no secret.
What is curious is why you would assume drinking pee to be something derogatory.

You do realize everything we've been tought is a lie?

Empirical examination of urine reveals the truth right away!
