You're right it is in the beta stage, though cards are being issued now, and there are some serious and very smart people on the project.

Apparently some projections say bitcoin is going to be using more electricity than the entire WORLD by late 2019.

That's a major fucking problem for the planet, and if a solution isn't found its a problem for bitcoin's existence.

Fact is the mining is becoming more and more efficient, and the newer mining rigs on the horizon even more so, and as the network improves so will the efficiency.

I can now book flights, hotels, AirB&B, eat Subway, buy cars, houses, condos, ect ect. just using Bitcoin.
Tools like TenX and the others who will follow will just make it easier to spend crypto.

Ok I read it. The main point of that article is that electricity output will rise to match every rise in bitcoin prices (and fall as bitcoin prices fall).

So if you believe that bitcoin prices will rise exponentially (which I know Earl does and I'm fairly certain you do as well), then what I said about energy costs is completely spot on. You posted an article that proves my point, and basically does so unambiguously.

Denmark today the world tomorrow. Its not like its hard to understand the concept. Higher prices = more money to be made from the same amount of BC = more miners having a go = more equipment = more electricity being used.
