Yeah... I'm on holiday so a bit bored today then I went to Fortune and bought Windows XP SP3 2008 and bought a cage for my new hard drive, back home, put the hard drive in the cage and guess what, the drive doesn't work... well, my friend gave it to me though so can't complain and I was stupid enough to just install Windowns on the current one that I had without backup the files and yes, shit happened, I lost all my pix, movies and music.

Damn... but my friend said, it's good to wipe old memory away and started a new life errrrrrrrr... shut up mate, I wanted my pix back...

I had an uncharectoristic mad rage in Carrefour today. Trouble is I just knew it would happen.

Wandered round for a while lamenting their reduction of choice on 'Home Furnishings', culminating in a peculiar discussion with a Thai lad of about 18 years, with a floaty hairstyle and droopy face that, I am sure, PeaceBlondie would be making a beeline for if he was trolling this thread. Despite showing him that the cabinet of interest did, in fact, come in both Oak and Beach colours (it has it written on the flat-packed box), he maintained a position of ignorance to the point where he virtually pretended he could not read!

Slightly chastened and certainly worn out, I decided to do the weekly shop, where my eagle-eye for signs of further Thai incompetence was now firmly 'in'. As a rule I always pick up cans of Sam Mig light in the regular drinks section before doing the cold food shopping and, if there are cold cans available, I will swap them, as it is better to take cold cans home, the fridge stock is either very low or out and at least the next punter has some semi-cold cans to buy, rather than none at all. I noticed that the cans were priced 30 baht on the shelf, but 31 baht in the fridge (if they had of been in stock).

Waiting in the checkout queue, I pondered what kind of barcode system could distinguish between the two types of can. Do they employ thermotechnology on the conveyor belt?

Or was this simply going to be another Thai farce?

You know the sort of thing - someone notices that running fridges uses electricity, they are aware that energy prices are on the up, so thinks they should increase the price of chilled drinks without any idea how to implement this grand idea...

True to form, yes the cans register at B31 and I pointed out the error, only for the fool on roller skates to check the price on the fridge. Now being egged on by a Thai gent behind me in the same queue, who has about 20 cans of Sam Mig also, I explain 3-times to the roller-skater to go to check the price on the shelf where I picked up the cans, rather than the fridge, but, like some sort of mental-inmate trying to positively prove the theory of the first sign of madness being doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result, he simply goes back to the fridge 3-times (within plain view of myself and fellow Thai SM-swiller)!

Yes - all eyes were then diverted inside the entire store to this mad, ranting felang pointing and shouting, with staff scurrying for cover.

Anyway, all ends well, a manager came over, dismissed both the cashier and the hapless skated one, rung up the beer at B31 and simply put 3 free ones in my bag, which I now happily sup...

i posted a fukkin amazing thread in "the lounge", spent nearly two hours typing the few lines with my typing finger, and once again i got three times as many greens as replies. (not bragging, complaining)

Blackgang's absolutely vile response to the story of the young American soldier girl who died in Patong. He called her a watermelon eating coon. It wasn't until somebody claiming to be her father came on the forum that his vicious posts were deleted, long after they were posted.
