I was a very late convert. Now a full blown itard.

Remember buying my first record, an EP the Beatles Please please me. I was allowed to play it on the new radiogram my parents bought in the early sixties. Had a tuner and a turntable.
Fond memories of mum playing Jim Reeves LPs on Sunday’s while dad was at the pub. Dad would come back and play his Gigli singles or a bit of JS Bach fugues.

Today I use a Bose Bluetooth speaker and MacBook to listen to Paul Simon and Eva Cassidy. Wonder what mum and dad would have made of that?

Oh gosh, I need to start organizing and packing up four years of odds and ends I've accumulated on this China adventure. The big task of going through my clothes, junk and deciding what I'm boxing, throwing out or selling is very near. Ugh!

No, like packing in a box.
Great thread by the way. I posted in it a long time ago (nevergiveup) was my nik.

I'm definitely a minimalist very much like Mandaloopy. It won't take me long to get most of my stuff in two suitcases. I am used to moving around every three or four years. I'll send a few boxes to where I'm going and the rest will be sold, given away or packed in my two big suitcases. I need my laptop, camera, phone, clothes, souvenirs I bought for family, and a few other necessities. A rich life indeed of adventure and experiences.

Had to go back to the OP, for a mo, to remember what the thread was about.
I am still trying to work out what's best for me, wife and eachother's families. If it was for me alone, I would have stayed retired in Thailand as I was in 2005. Too many to feed and look after for that to work out so I went back to work.

I have the same problem again now. I don't really want to work under the current silly laws of Germany and don't need to for myself to live happily, but what about the extended family and the children that do need me? This year I get a reasonable lump sum from past investments but next year I get a good monthly dividend return that will guarantee a no work, easy lifestyle. Do I wait until next year or give up now? Just had a mate die who didn't get to live his dreams and I don't want to be on that boat...

I am happy to live off our garden and small farm with my pension being saved to provide the household bills and insurance for health and car. My savings I want in reserve for emergencies, when Dad dies or when I need to get away for a while.

I love the simple life but know that things will get complicated, and expensive just as soon as I burn the bridge .... a dilemma I keep putting off...

You can allways ask BS how he does it.

Just kidding snubby. When you gonna post a pic of your pad. You know I really don't believe them when they say you're living in your mothers basement.

If so don't feel sad, my ex-brother-in-law lives in the house his folks left him.

PS I didn't black out till 6am. What do you think I am, some kind of lightweight? Been down that road before and allways find one of my places to stay. The

Do I need a second saucepan? One for the meat/sauce, and one for the pasta?

Or am I just being materialistic?

I'd give it a rest in same pan. Meat, sauce, pasta, cluster bombs. It's a thin line between love and hate.

    End.

Look, I am the Za. The great and powerful Za.

There is no place like home,
There is no place like home,
There is no place like home.

Ok so a bit too much burbon.

I need to get back to work.
Idle hands and a loose mind can make the fish swim in circles.
The real story as if you give two shanks is I was looking for my HVAC guys #. It wasn't in that damn book. Not a bad week though as I recall it.

Hey, do you guys thinks I could really be Za? Or a teffler?

That's scary. Where the hell is Terry?

    A simple life without the Dyna-Pro 120,000.

Can I live without it? Well

It's wide as a river, deep as a well. As for me tomorrow, I'll be tuning it for the cold winter days.
