A female flight attendant attempted to explain to Ms O’Riordan that she would have to retake her seat, however it is alleged that Ms O’Riordan lashed out.

Gardai were called after the plane landed. Gardaí and airport police personnel were waiting at the airport for the aircraft’s arrival after the pilot had radioed ahead for assistance.

As Ms O’Riordan was being placed under arrest, it’s alleged she headbutted a garda before spitting in his face.
