The Foreign Correspondents' Club of Thailand is pleased to announce that Colonel Werachon Sukondhapatipak, the spokesman for the new ruling military council in Thailand, has agreed to speak to the club this Thursday at 6 pm. Colonel Werachon will outline the reasons for last week's military takeover, and explain the objectives of General Prayuth Chan-ocha and his colleagues. Afterwards members will be free to ask him any questions on the current situation.

This is an opportunity to find out more about what Thailand's new rulers have in mind for the country.

Please note the earlier starting time for this event to allow for the 10 pm curfew.
