Exactly the same as a 75cl bottle of Bell's Scotch.
Och aye!
I do that!! And sometimes get a nice surprise when I wrestle the bag from the box thinking it's almost empty and theres about a litre left!!
Also, I'm too lazy to take empty bottles to the bottle bank!! Boxes are easier.
I use a glass, never drunk it straight from the box. Would probably ruin my negligee.
Boxed wine? How is that enjoyable.....? Do you drink it chilled or room temperature? I would assume you drink it in a Red cup (quick and cheap like the wine)...
Its an acquired taste Mont Clair

Equally delisherous for breakfast before a day of panhandling.
Tonight's choices
Buffalo Trace Bourbon or Singleton 18 year scotch
Mate ... just quietly, some of that gear ain't half bad.
Some of the Wineries do 2 Litre Casks (boxes) which are quite drinkable.
Personally, I've never tasted what Luigi drinks though ... choices are limited in Thailand.
Casks/Boxes are usually a wine which is quaffed rather then awarded, but, occasionally there are some 1/2 decent drops in the box.
You know David. I do not drink wine. I have had it at dinner parties maybe a dozen times in my life. One or two times it was good but never ever enjoyed it. I do imagine there are outstanding ones. Its funny too in that my parents live in the heart of all the wineries in Napa Cal. They dont drink it either.
In the US they sell boxed wine everywhere. Its dirt cheap and enjoyed by the homeless along with some stuff called "Thunderbird"
But as I have always said. "Whatever works and you enjoy"
I drink it chilled, in a glass. Unless it is red. Lidl do a half decent Australian white.
Of course, if i have guests I buy bottles or take a bottle if invited.
I have a friend who brings my boxes to me, too heavy for me to carry!!
I have a Thai engineer that works with me and he orders wine and has it delivered from BKK. You have to buy a case. He orders from a list of a mix from US and Aus I believe. He loves it and has a glass or 2 every night. I have never tried it even though he offered me a bottle. I do not want to waste it. The Liquor Shoppe inside the Mall in Korat has what appears to be a very good selection of White and Red wine (No boxes though)
I will say though, He has told me he much prefers my single malt Scotch than his wine and I laughed and said "Do not count on me offering you a bottle anytime soon"
A quite affordable, and really quite a decent single malt is the Glenmorangie 10 yr old. Was around 1,800thb last time I bought it. I'd usually buy it before the 12 year old's in a similar price bracket, and would recommend it for someone just starting out.
Snakebiting
I agree LuLu, that is a very good Single Malt for the price. Honestly anything by Glenmorangie is always good.
...actually I wouldn't touch that sweetener-loaded sugary shit, this looks better:
Passion Fruit with soda-tastes kinda like sparking wine-add a dash of lime and it's one refreshing drink.
...or: throw the mess over your shoulder and have a glass of sparkling wine...Originally Posted by Mandaloopy
