Sticking to ice cold water today. *****crosses fingers. Heavens.... help me to say NO to booze today!
.
I buy a fair bit of wine at Auction.
But they sell many beverages known to man.
KW, saw this and thought of you.

An hour to go and the last bid was $204
Was that the licking of lips I just heard KW?
.
Guess i might be too late for that one now...
Lovely and delicious with a flowery Weiss-beer nose and not too strong compared with the others from those Trappist nutters at only 6.5%

Winery Tasting Notes
Colour
White yellow colour.
Aroma
Mellow bouquet showing some depth of aged material.
Toasted bread like the Champagne character.
Palate
The taste is smooth and dry, savoury and imbued with mushroom and bready yeast-matured complexities.
The finish is rich, soft and clean Very complex and interesting for the money, like the non vintage Champagne.

I am down with the flu tonight. Had big party this morning and doubt many will be sober enough for a party this evening.
For medicinal purposes, it is Benedictine with Janneau armagnac chased down with Chang Classic.
^
I used to love Chang Classic when it was 6.4 %.
When they dropped it last year back to 5 % it just gives me a headache.
Thought I'd add that. :)
^ That'll be something to look forward to in the morning...
Flu has got onto the chest, last couple of days, which is a real bummer. Chang box is empty, moving to the Leo.
One glass of wine for me tonight!! Still fucking sick.
A cocktail of sins and if my mom's pastor is right, I'll be burning in hell for the rest of eternity. 555
Lambanog was the front runner as always, then vodkas.... sangrias.
Happy New Year!
Agree there, Steinlager gives me a god-awful headache, only need one or two stubbies.
Dunno what's in the stuff,...must be piss.
^yep
Big party last night. The only prerequisite was that each person had to bring a bottle of bubbles.
Below is what I can remember we had.Am in remarkable condition considering the amount and the condition we ended up in.

If I was to grade the Shateau Margaux 2009, I'd give it a solid 7 Flouncychingchangs out of 10.
Wine is overated, pretentious gut rot.
Get on the beer or spirits you fooking "Italian" lightweight.
Is your New year resolution to finish that half bottle of Glenfidich?
FOL:)
^^moheetos
Lao Khao as usual. Nothing else hits the spot for so little a cost.
Let's face it..Lao Khao is to Thailand what vodka is to Russia, what Tequila is to Mexicans and Gin used to be to the Brits. No better or worse. Why pay more for exotic gut rot when the local equivalent is no worse or better.
About to pour my glass of wine for the day. Not missing drinking too much, been too ill!! Dont know if išlI go back to my old ways when i'm better.....
A hand written label is class?Quote:

Winery Tasting Notes
Colour
Bright and fresh with green colour and light straw tint. Youthful.
Aroma
An aromatic style with tropical fruit and light herbal note with a green apple edge.
Palate
Medium palate weight with bright green fruits and a citric, lime juice nuance. Subtle texture on the palate adds a deliciousness.
Food Matching
Chilli crab, fish or freshly shucked oysters. Good aperitif drink as well.

"The best part of waking up is Folgers in your cup" ...
.
This is nice.
Complex and not a beer (Ale) I'd drink all night, but as a starter, or a chaser ... surprising.

Brewed out of the old 'Little Creatures' Brewery that was carted across the country from Fremantle, this great dark ale has a great intensity with sweet tones. Medium hops with caramel and toffee notes that lingers for considerable time.
.
This one is seriously good:
