Stopped by the long time liquor store that I have frequented many times that has a nice selection of Rye Whiskeys. While Not drinking.....yet..... But will be in my suitcases coming home to be enjoyed by my pool bar.
Minor Case. Small distillery out in a barn.
Clyde May's. Top stuff. They make an really good Bourbon as well.
History label sums it up. 10 Year aged Rye
Angels Envy finished Rye
Cheers all
Excellent selection of Rye's there, JP! I am envious!
The espresso martini will put lead in his pencil
Stopped by the Liquor store on my way back to house
Picked up these
Another Belgium style Ale. 8.3% abv. I think I need to go to Belgium to do a beer tasting tour like I did on a The Tequila train tour I took in Jalisco Mexico.
Allgash. This was finished in Bourbon barrels ABV 10%. Will taste tonight. quite curious
Tonight I forewent my usual Friday night Leo guzzling session with my mate from the provinces for two main reasons... work commitments mean I suddenly have a busy week ahead starting with the daughter's science project tomorrow morning (for which I need a clear head) and I've been pretty well knackered today after having to unexpectedly update a load of work paperwork through last night.
Also of course, I want to rehabilitate Anna and cheer her up a bit before I leave. But Anna was so keen to get back to the comfort of her chair tonight I didn't even have a chance for a sip of Ya Dong and a quick pic before she was heading back. Maybe my Welsh mate would have been better company?
^^Top slosh Stumps
^Why don't you sip your ya dong by the pool or the lake Mendip?
A cheeky Little Creatures Pale for me to toast a nicely weathered F8F Bearcat which flew in this week
This evolved from the F4F Wildcat/Grumman Martlet to its rear, by way of the much larger F6F Hellcat
It retains the F6F's monster upsized engine (and propeller blades) but goes back to the F4F's diminutive body. The combination gave it legendary power to weight ratio which means it is still in use today and is favoured as a vintage retro stunt plane.
This example is in service with the French Armee de l'Air
It was only used by 4 forces in total and the Royal Thai Air Force was one of them
Have really taken to this Riceberry beer when drinking local stuff.
Reminds me of the Irish Red Ales.
Very light fizz and none of the chemical taste and feeling of the Thai lager shite.
M'Sahib comes up with requests for movies/tv series occasionally, and for the last couple of nights we've been working our way through the episodes of "Stranger Things". Personally, never been a fan of scifi, which is probably why I haven't seen it before. However, decent production with some humour thrown in. Not a hardship watching it with her, though a beer and brandy is a useful incentive.
^ They don't make 'em like they used to. You might be able to start it up.
Models bought today are no comparison to those made 30 years ago. (Same company)
Nowadays the engine doesn't exist, just a painted bump on the plastic mold.
The old ones have complete separate engines made from 3 or 4 different parts inside the engine bay.
^^
Advocaat and soda?
