I started at lunch with 2 pints of Guinness, then polished of 3/4 of a bottle of Brandy later coz I was taxi driving till 8.30.

Finished about 4am, had a shock when I looked at my phone at midday.

Got a 16 bottle box of Corona to get through tonight.

They've sold out of draught Corona in the pub just as I'd gotten a taste for it.
Also I've run out of limes so I'm using lemons.

I will painfully admit that on one occasion watching the cricket I sharted and thought bollocks, fuck cleaning that. About an hour or two later as it had soaked through all layers and my jeans I realised this was a cold, wet and uncomfortable mistake.

I've just spent 3 months offshore without a drop of alcohol and didn't even think about a drink. Yes... nearly 90 days dry without a thought.

I then spent 2 weeks in Somerset binging on cider and a duty free Highland Park, kidding myself it was just a short holiday before returning to the rigours of life in Isaan.

I then spent 4 days in Bangkok drinking monumental quantities of alcohol during my SHA confinement, again kidding myself it was a temporary luxury before returning to normal life. And I'm talking the works.

Sadly, in 3 weeks of Isaan life my Leo, Mont Clair and Johnnie Walker intake has gone through the roof. I have some soul searching to do here... but I know if alcohol is available in Isaan, I'll drink it. Before moving here I never drank at home... I think that says it all.

My daughter would be absolutely fukked without me so I'm sorting this out. No more drink at home. Things are fraught enough without bringing alcohol into the mix. I also need to keep my health and keep a valid medical... and I need to renew my medicals regularly.

So, to this end yesterday I finished off all the Leo in the house, along with a vast amount of whiskey.

Today I finished off the Johnnie Walker and am now working through this ridiculous bottle of bubbly stuff which was was never going to be used for it's intended romantic uses. Once that's gone I only have half a bottle of gin upstairs to get rid of, and then it's only cider left.

HH.. come and pick up some Thatchers Gold mate!

It has to be done. This afternoon I baked cupcakes with the daughter and we plan a cupcake/chocolate custard pudding.

After a baked salmon with potato, pumpkin, sweetcorn and broccoli main!

It's all about me daughter.
