I can't keep up with the drinkers here, limiting myself to wine and sake . . . and the occasional beer and pastis if the weather is good for it.

The thread title doesn't stipulate alcohol so, my breakfast drink was Almond milk and Greek yoghurt with a large avocado and goji berries - whip it into a smoothie!

That's soju, a Korean drink. 14.5% alc, 360 mL. Half a bottle makes me a very happy chappy. (I've heard a Korean vlogger say that for Korean men, it's normal to have 4 of those in 1 session.)

Was my drink last night (and probably tonight too). Now, I'm drinking a coffee.

That is a dinky little 360ml bottle.

I think Katie maybe does have rather petite hands...

More luftwaffe wingspan whackjobbery with the 43m wide Messerschmidt Me-264

    What are you drinking today?-img_20211110_215036-jpg

This was Willy Messerschmidt's entry for the Reichs ambitious Amerikabomber programme to bomb the merkin's east coast. The plane had a planned range of 10000 miles and had bunk-beds on board to allow a crew change on the monster mission

    What are you drinking today?-img_20211110_215101-jpg

Separated at birth: The Me-264 and the B-29?

    Both share a 43m wingspan
Both first flew in late 1942
Both share similar design language with tricycle landing gear and stepless glass nose

But whereas the B-29 went on to greatness with 4000 built the Amerikabomber programme was cancelled and only 3 beautiful Me-264s were ever built.

They sent you a bottle of gin, an apple and a recipe for a pie?

Or possibly two recipes for pies?

Or did you just have gin for breakfast?

Friday night the gf and I stayed at a homestay with a fridge full of Belgian beer. I rarely drink beer but this seemed like a good opportunity to sample something different. I let the gf chose and we worked our way through three large bottles.

    What are you drinking today?-biere-jpg

They were all interesting, each in their own way.

The next day I got the bill, only a few satang change from Baht 3,000. I think that is the most expensive beer I have ever tasted.

Our host told me with a broad smile that next time I should ask the price first. No, there isn't going to be a next time.

You should start a travel in Thailand blog Shu, it would be essential viewing on pitfalls and what to avoid.

Has mrs shu suggested a trip to the temple to get a luck adjustment?
