Apologies.
FUCK YOU EDMOND
It has been very slow around here of late. Not good.
Doors predicted it back in the day, a kinda dirtydogcast rip
As Twain said, “the reports of my death are greatly exaggerated”.
Surely a decade old thread predicting the death of all forums is evidence of the same?
^this place is just festering now
^There seems to be an ongoing challenge between some posters/mods on who can keep others bickering, on who can respond to the most threads with one-liners, on who can start the most threads on an existing theme (on the same day! So they can talk to themselves) and on posters who will start insignificant threads to keep this pit going.
I’m waiting for the “what color is your countertop” thread.
Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
Forum activity goes in cycles.
Yes. Classics like "what are you drinking now?" Riveting brain teasers like wordle, or "what are you listening to now?" Then there are diamonds like "breakfast," "dinner" and not to be out done, "lunch... the second course."
I'm only surprised "what colour is your countertop?" has not already been covered on TD yet. Have we done "What colour socks will you be wearing with your shorts and sandals today?" Anyone?...
I rather enjoy my nightly visits here for a spell.
Noticed that there have been no updates to vBulletin for quite a while. Here is what Chat AI says!
>>>>>write a short paper on how long vBulletin will be supported as a forum engine.>>>>>>>
VBulletin is a popular forum engine that has been used for many years by website owners, as it provides a reliable and easy-to-use platform for creating and managing forums. However, as other forum engines have become more popular and advanced, there is some uncertainty as to how long VBulletin will continue to be supported. At this time, VBulletin has not announced any plans to discontinue support, and they appear to be actively developing the platform. In addition, VBulletin has a large user base and a strong reputation, so it is likely that they will continue to support the platform for some time. However, it is impossible to say how long VBulletin will be supported. There is always the possibility that the company could decide to end support for the platform in the future. If this occurs, users of the platform will need to look for alternatives. In conclusion, while VBulletin appears to be actively supported at this time, there is no way to predict how long the company will continue to support the platform. It is best for users to be prepared for the possibility of the platform being discontinued in the future.

Joined in an earlier life 2009 for the travel threads, building/construction, farming, visa advice ... it's changed, those topics barely mentioned in 2023, though I am looking forward to the "what colour is your countertop?" thread it's not a topic I've ever given any thought to.
