Out of the Desert and into the Beer...

    ...

So, landed today, start a new job tomorrow. Everything is looking good (not perfect, but good).

As you know, the desert was rather light on the beer front... So, I got a few beers tonight. Here they are:

The 1.6L daddy, if me maths are right (which I doubt), was about 70 baht.

    OB! My favourite K-beer.

Watched Philomena last night. GF was asking what does Guinness taste like so I will buy some and let her have a sip.

Great place. Get naked with a crowd of Korean blokes down the Jimjilbang and give your ballbag a soak!

Even decent beer tastes like shandy when you mix it with lemonade.

They all tasted very nice actually.

I've worked out, I can afford to spend about 15,000 baht per month on food and drink here for meself - that's sending money home, paying off me loans, etc (only 14 months to go and counting...). &, with those big 1.6L bottles at only 70 baht per bottle, I can have a very nice time indeed...

The missus may or may come, either way, it's all good...

I first visited Korea about 12 years ago, went to a shitty place, wasn't well qualified and didn't like it. Gotta say, this times, things a little different, nicer job, nicer place, in the middle of a uni area full of ladies, beer and great food places, people are nicer than I remember - think I'm gonna really enjoy it here...

I'm gonna get into the cheap 1.6L bottles.

That's what I'm thinking, Breny - my car and house are both paid off in 14 months time. Nice little house, nice little car, then money that I actually earn and can start buying meself stuff...

No longer will I need to be jealous of the motorbike crew - I'll just get meself one.

    Etc, etc, etc...
