Prat is the same, it's a bit strange really when you think he is half Thai and has a full Thai cousin who should be able to answer his thread title, unless of course she's not a hiso too and he's thinking of taking her to a Songkran meet up in the UK

I'm talking about being able to tell upon sight, which is quite easy after a while, the obvious ones anyway.

Nah Pat not always possible, the range of dress senses these days could well mean your seeing what you want to see, and please, do not mention tattoes.

Whilst I am not that old, one thing I have learnt is that judging people by appearance is very unreliable.

For starters, as a result of europes determination to build the worlds complex and expensive dooms day device in Geneva and since the mid 1990's people have been using this to hook up for all kinds and fun, pleasure and marrage. I suspect that this has been the primary driver for brits and thais marrying rather than nana, soi carboy and pats.

And to be honest I didn't see many people who looked remotely like a bar girl ex or otherwise. This particular temple was quite hard core but extremely non judgmental so if there were any ex bar girls in the UK who wanted to goto a temple of all the temples this is probably the one they would go to.....

Funnily enough she is in London for songkran, we'll probably go to Wimbledon temple on songkran.

Some of you could surprise me and drown me in the lake there.

^One of things about expats is that it tends to break up the social rankings between people and you see people reinventing themselves, droop in pats comes to mind.

The one lasting memory I have of the Wimbledon temple was watching 80 or so thai women trying to work out who was more important than the others in this great game of oneupmanship.. we don't need to drown you... we will just let you suffer that

With answer to your thread...... and putting an English whore perspective on this, I wouldnt look down on any ex pros if they made a go of it and got off the crack pipe. Here most girls go on the game for money, not out of wanton drug abuse. Nip to Soho, you will get my drift. If these girls here had half the chance that the Fat freeloadin council flat takin, child abusin girls did in the good old Polish States of the Uk it, most wouldn't appear.

    Indeed.

Some folks either have short memories or were not around during the Asian Financial Crisis back in '97/'98 when you'd have secretaries, schoolgirls etc. on the game - like real openly.

    So what...

I worked on projects in Malaysia and China some years ago that had a large expat populations, including some male and female Thais staff. Many expats were married to Thais of varying “social status”. I never saw any problems or anyone “pulling rank”.
Some 10 years later many of these women still stay in touch and get together when they are in Thailand.

Well, if you have an itch, don't you just scratch it?

Death can be a real turn on for some folk and the phenomenon of fucking shortly after a funeral isn't that unusual. In the midst of death and all that.....

In any event Asians react differently to death and rarely waste time on a lengthy grieving process.

I know of an Isaan woman who had just burned her 2nd husband and at the ceremony, admittedly whilst in her cups, was actively touting for a third.

Every time this subject comes up, I have my canned response. Most women, not all, have gotten where they are by prostituting themselves. It doesn't matter what country you are in, men do not think with their brains, only their dick. I have to plead guilty to this one as well since my ex-wife cornered me by having two of my kids while claiming to be on the pill. Yes, I was stupid to marry her, but she got what she wanted in the end and took most of my hard earned cash with her. Thid is one of the reasons I am now living in a low cost country like Thailand, but not the only reason.

Personally, I think it is the man who falls for the pretty little lady and not the lady who prostitutes herself that drives this world.

Dead right there mate. We are weak as piss when confronted by a good looking bint and would kill our brother to get to that pussy if she was offering.

When I split up from my last long term girlfriend another female friend asked me what happened ?

I told her that we fell out of love. She gave me this incredibly strange look and said " love has nothing to with it".

Fok, I'm still confused over that one.

    Think I need some councilling.

I think she's trying to tell you, she fell out of love with her hubby long ago but sticks around for the kids/ financial benefits/ companionship ie.
A lot of people do, look at swingers for example, I've never understood that one

I recon that is more than likely what she was trying to tell me in a round about way as she married well, has good kids and lives a nice life not wanting for anything.

I know she don't love her husband but dont dislike him either so I figure she stays because of the benefits supplied and shags him once in a while.

What ever floats your boat I suppose. Works for her.

I would say the vast farang Thai marriages are the same so nothing is different in Thailand I suppose.

The facts tell us that only 1 in 3 marriages survive so as long as your together and get on is all that matters.

Its only when you don't get on that the shit really hits the fan then the wife walks and next thing you know is sucking the sauce out of your best mate.

    Life sucks sometimes.

That might be an explanation for a western woman, but if his female friend was Thai, it does not hold.

Have you ever sampled the wares of Thai prostitutes, Gent? Can you describe your experiences.

My experience with Thai women, yes they stay for the benefit of the Kids, whereas males do a runner, never to be seen nor heard of again.

And when you look at there western counterparts. males pretty much do the same.
