A friend of mine returned to her car, which she had (by mistake and stupidity) left blocking another vehicle, to find a picture of a foot under her windscreen wiper. She was mortified; I think it was a great and effective idea - a clear mesage.

But, she hadn't damaged somebody else's property (on which they had no right to be on in the first place). Thais would and do react agressively and violently to this...

I just asked a Thai about this, putting a photocopy of a foot on their car is almost like wiping it with the worst shit you can find! The people here were MORTIFIED that I even suggested such an action, Thanks Mate, I'll try it again if they turn up tomorrow.

Or you could be living in the UK where (even if you have bought your house) anybody has the right to park on the curb right outside your house. Sometimes I had to park half way down the street because the neighbours friends had taken over the entire parking space outside my house.

I asked the council what could be done about this, and their reply was that I would have to pay over £500 to get the curb raised by a few inches just outside my house. Only then would it be my parking space. I don't see any logic in this at all?

My tactic was to go to the offenders door and tell them to quit parking outside my fucking house. It worked.

Sounds to me like you been in Thailand long enough to allow these trivialities, however annoying, to get to you.

This is the entire plot! MISTAKE OR STUPIDITY....please can you tell me where the boundary is drawn here? If you are able to drive a fucking car, are you then too fucking stupid to know where is a good place and a bad place to park it?

I saw some articles a while back where some [at][at][at][at] in a Benz had simply parked his/her car in the middle of the parking lot, blocking everyone who was legitamly parked. He/she had set the parking brake so the car could not be rolled forward or back, now tell me if this is the behaviour of a HUMAN! The people waiting to get out had to wait 2 hours for this piece of shit to come back and move his/her car....I would have rammed the fucker!

I had a similar prob when visiting my ex MIL there was no drives so everyone parked in the road ,, some VIP lived there ( apparently ) used to put cones out to stop people parking outside HIS house ,, now I thought this was a bonus as it meant I could always get parked , so I just used to place them in his garden and park ,, he came out to confront me when I got back in my car ,, I told him if he carried on spouting crap he would be wearing the cones.
Problem solved ,, although he didn't put them out for me to reserve my space any more :UK:

Exactly the same situation as my friend; and yes she is from a priviledged background, so she doesn't need to think too hard because her mistakes will not come back to haunt her - welcome to thailand and the benefits of the patronage system... :(

It is basically the culture, it's fuked... But, it's worse for you and I because not only do we get fuked by the hisos, but we also get fuked by the Somchais because they are desperate to fuk somebody over (they get bored with being fuked over all day every day by the hisos), and we don't fit into the patronage system at any level thus we can be fuked over...

Get some hiso friends, put some nice 'important' emblem on your car or outsude your house then folks will stop parking on your land. :) Or just shoot them, but make sure you have the right connections first so that you don't have any consequences...

We have a sizeable chunk of land - 20 Rai, the people near me have about a half a Rai, does it really make any difference if some fucker parks in your front garden or 100 metres away - It is private land, As I said in a previous response, we even had bastards uprooting our fence posts. (Previously I had asked the wife what would happen if someone did this and she said the Police would have them) Needless to say, fuck all was done and I had to replace the posts!

Did you manage to electrocute many dogs? I found the best result was to either shoot the fuckers with one of those pump up rifles - 22 pumps and a shot in the arse and they will NOT be back, or put a bit of that insecticide - the purple one you need to dilute like 1000:1 on a bit of rice - again they DEFINATELY won't be back! (it works better with the cats that shit everywhere as they like to lick themselves clean - they don't last 12 hours)
