With a 4 point swing in the closing minutes of the games at Bolton and QPR yesterday Bolton, who have 6 wins on the road (same as Chelsea), now have to win at Stoke relying on Citeh to beat QPR at home on the final day of the season.
A draw at Blackburn tonight will leave Wigan safe (on goal difference) and officially relegate Rovers to the championship.
Lots of 'if's' at the top and none bigger than 'if' Chelsea win at Anfield on Tuesday night. Quite incredibly the scousers have only won 5 games at home this season, less than Blackburn & QPR. :)
My predictions at the start of the season for relegation were Blackburn, QPR and those foreigners Swansea who have done rather well. Credit due! :)
nice end to the season, down to the last games for the top and bottom
WIgan need 1 point, been a bad year for the small fry Lancashire teams. Bolton are almost certainly gone as well. Aston Villa have escaped but only just. Wigan are nt used to being in the drivers seat. It would be ironic and just like them if they blow their last 2 games.
If Wigan beat Blackburn tonight (and I think they will), then the only issue left is whether or not Bolton can win at Stoke.
Because I'm pretty certain, no matter how hard they scrap, that QPR are not going to get anything out of Man Citeh except a red card or two.
The league is over now I reckon. (hopefully that will jinx it:))
I watched the first half of the City game last night and thought it was a matter of time before they scored, they looked a different class to Newcastle. I went and sat in another bar with no TV and was praying for no cheers, but it wasn't to be
If that 1-6 drubbing at Old Trafford was a 1-2, Man U would be top on goals scored now. The game that really cost Man U was the 4-4 with Everton IMO and the 2-3 with Blackburn at home.
They have definately missed this guy

Whereas City have had this collossus(F.A.O BettyBoo) :)

I'd say Manchester Dhabi's player of the season has been Yaya Toure.
He's a monster.
^ Yep, They have a great Spine, with Hart and Aguerro also
Like I said, if Sheikh Yabooty wants to give us 30 mill for Van Persie, I wouldn't begrudge him going.
I do love the sound of plastic Mancs crying. Rather confusingly, there's another load of plastic Mancs cheering. I'll get back to my English footy...
Most Man City fans are from Manchester, although you will be seeing a lot more Man City shirts walking all around the world soon. How did Luton get on, they were doing well at one point this season if I remember right ?
They take a 2-0 lead into the second leg of the play-off semi-finals against Wrexham. KO at 4.30Quote:

My bad, he played for Watford :)

Free nil to the 'Atters!
Well the 'Ammers look like they're going to Wemberly. If Blackpool can do the business tomorrow, we might actually get three football sides promoted for the first time in years, and have a premiership free of hoofers like Blackburn, Wolves and Birmingham.
You forgot Stoke.Quote:

Do you think a Venky's PR man let that loose? I remember a tiny tott let one loose at Highbury back in the day. The scum fans thought it was hilarious - until a bobby (obviously a Gooner) caught it, wrung its neck and lobbed it back into their end.
Cue hysterical laughter round the ground.
And none of your politically correct mob to whinge about it back then.
:)
not so fast. MAN CITY Top on goal difference. they are going to play QPR who are fighting for their lives. Bolton or QPR are going down. city beat Newcastle 2 -0. newcastle could have come away with appoint late on. Bottom feeder Wigan put 4 on Newcastle. nothing is finished.
As to the fan base, let's face it dispute the best attempts of the G brothers from he'll to rape and pillage the once richest club in the world, Fergie has managed to keep them at the top of one of the strongest leagues in the world. Manchester United could fill a 100,000 seat stadium week in and week out.
No matter what Oil baron of the week does the quality of Manure to produce year after year is a feat that probably few teams can hope to match. Chelsea with their billions where an also ran this year. Money can not create a dynasty. What is the point to this single malt rant you may ask!
WIGAN AIN'T RELEGATED AGAIN.
Now if you rich bastards keep your grubby little paws off our 3 good players, WHATCH YOUR ARSES NEXT YEAR BOYs. :)
The above is Avery late, lubricated rant on an I pad.
