Didn't stop them picking Doherty. I think someone mentioned earlier on this thread his first class average is an abysmal 48

It's a shambles, frankly... If the Aussies sneak off with a draw it'll be a minor miracle.

    England by an innings, again?

    Shane Warne ?

Peerless: Shane Warne almost single-handedly won the Ashes in 2005 and only he can galvanise Australia's sorry side in the current series

^ won't happen. He is too old and too fat (a bit like meself).

Unusually for an Aussie team, there are too many fragile minds; mentally weak (both ways???). Johnson is a prime example, can be on fire on his day, but does not handle pressure well... I don't think they'll pick him, it could be his ruin if he has the awful game that I'd imagine he could. It's a good pitch for him, but if his line and length are crap then he'll be bashed all over the park.

He does have the big match temperament despite all his foibles.

Yeah, and the skysports scorecentre, too, thanks.

I don't really understand how this is gonna work, or not, with 3 days and big scores and declarations???

One thing seems clear(ish): the 3 bowlers that England wanted to perform, haven't taken many wickets...

Exactly. No pressure on the fragile Aussies then.

A lady walks in to the Police Staion in Adelaide and the desk Sergeant asks if he can help her.

' Yes', she said, 'I'd like to report a case of sexual assault'

'Where did it happen' asks the Sergeant

'In the park, just down the road' replies the woman

'Can you describe what happened?' says the Sergeant

'Yes.i was walking along the footpath near the trees when a man jumped out of the bushes and dragged me in there, pulled down my underwear and had his way with me'

'Can you give me a description of the man' asks the Sergeant

'Yes, he was wearing white shoes, long white trousers, a white shirt and was wearing 2 long white pads from his feet up to his knees' replies the woman

'Sounds to me he might have been a cricketer, probably a batsman', says the Sergeant

'Yes', says the lady,'he was an Australian batsman'

'That's very observant, did you work that out from his accent?' says the Sergeant.

'No' the lady replied, ' I worked it out because he wasn't in for very long'
