The Ashes Tour

Whilst Clarke may be an adequate cricketer but I don't think he has the "people" skills neede to lead.

Some examples..
His relationship with Symonds as mentioned above
Getting grabbed by the throat by Kattich when Clarke wanted to sing the team song and leave early so he could go and shag Bingle
Deserting his team on tour to go and drop Bingle

I could see a very disharmonious team in a short time under his leadership in any form of the game.

Not good for the future of Oz Cricket.

Anh he gave up the Twenty 20 captaincy to concentrate on the long version of the game...after the Ashes and with over 7 months to go for our next test match.

oh and not a fucking hope in hell will Clarke ever captain a game in favour of Ponting

The Aussies did well to win that one; a good game, but we were 'here and there', again.

Although we've dropped 20% since the tests, it shows the convicts have some strength in depth - don't think either team have a hope in hell for the WC...

Steve Waugh was a great captain and a gentleman to boot.

Tough as nails, adequate change bowler and a fantastic batsman.

ricky might have an image problem but he likes to win and if we have to slag of the other team who cares go for it.( refer ian chappell )

^agree. i have no problem with the way ricky carrys on sometimes. the fact that he gets the oppostion fuming is a good thing. he can be a real prick, and he really gets on the nerves of the opposition, but that is part of the game, and its just the way our ricky goes about things. steve waugh called it 'mental disinigration'

that said, i don't want all of the team to follow in punters footsteps. border, taylor, waugh etc. have proved that you dont need to be complete arseholes to get the job done - not that i think ricky is either.......but i'm sure some of the opposition or their fans think he is..
