Not a bad inswinging yorker for the first ball of the series :chitown:
FFS - Starc was supposed to be the weak link according to … Steve Harmison.
Gotta laugh I suppose.
Well at least we'll get a go at the Aussie openers by lunchtime :smileylaughing:
Hameed is enjoying some chin music.

Weather might hold up early on.
The radar says no rain showers heading their way.
Humid as all fuck though, and a warm 28C
You bewty!
two down!
What is impressive is England's early run rate and the confidence to drive the bad ball.
Looks like a nice covering of grass on the pitch and plenty of bounce, which can be difficult to achieve with a (rain) limited preparation on a drop-in pitch.

Familiar story :(
playing at balls you don't need to
I'm optimistic our bowling unit can take it into day 3
As they say in Victoria, the Poms are in more shit than a Werribee duck at the moment
Root is ...err ... well ... well Rooted :)
England are 3/11
Is it too early for the Aussies to enforce the follow-on?
Cometh the hour, cometh the Kiwi to save the day at 3-11. FFS I've got sausages to cook but can't take my eyes off this :)
I have a wee bet on the game, $20 on a double chance, Aussies or a draw, I got a decent price a week ago.
So I was watching the live game odds.
The Aussies started at just over $1.50 for the win, narrowed to $1.50 neat after the first wicket, didn't change when 2 down, but when Root departed the Aussies firmed to $1.35.
Almost like the early Pommy Batting collapse was expected, but Roots wicket hurt.
SWIMBO is at home today, so decided to give the early beer a miss and made a cuppa.
Danger man gone.
