With John McPhee winning the Moto3 race and Sam Lowes taking third place in the Moto2 race, Crutchlow admitted there was a feel good factor amongst the British riders ahead of their home round at Silverstone.

“It's been a great day and I'm really pleased for John because he's worked really hard over the years to be competitive. He does everything right to be there and Sam did a great job as well,” he said.

“I think Sam said the me that he hadn't finished a wet race in six years – he's maybe crashed and got back on, but he's crashed in every wet race in six years so he did a good job today. It's an incredible day for the British riders and it's great to go to Silverstone with that hype.

“It was 35 years since Barry Sheene won a Grand Prix and to be mentioned in the same sentence as him is some really nice and it's perfect timing for the crowds for Silverstone,” added Crutchlow.

“The first thing people say to me is, 'what's your emotion after winning'. I last won six years ago [in WSBK] and the emotion then was different to how it is now. I really feel that the biggest emotion I had was three weeks ago when Willow was born, so I don't think it compares in that sense but that being said, it's the best day of my racing career and the best emotion of my racing career. Hopefully it can happen again.”

Hope both riders are okay not heard any confirmed reports yet.

The original race was red-flagged on the opening lap following a huge accident involving Loris Baz and Pol Espargaro. Baz required the most treatment at trackside, but waved as he was moved to the ambulance.

^Will admit to not watching Moto Gp for years after they dropped 2 strokes.
Get rid of all rider aids bring back 2 strokes that would shuffle the pack up a bit.
There has been 7 diffrent winners this year since the got the new tires and traction control rules.

    Yes, they would.

Rider aids or not. They are better trained in all aspects so I'm sure they would adapt. Let's not forget where most climbed from. They didn't just jump straight into MotoGP.

Besides, SBK is far more interesting.

Agree. Being a motor sports addict I watch it all. Motor sports has changed big time with advance in technology. I rank SBK top of my list and F1 near the bottom these days. Was a time I prefered F1. Things change.

^Haven't watched F1 for ages. Prefer V8 supercars, Aussy style these days. Used to be mad on WRC, but that's as dull as F1.

Carnage in MotoGP FP3 at Aragon.

Lucky no one got seriously hurt.

Marc Marquez moved to the top of the timesheets during an incident-packed MotoGP FP3 at Aragon.

The session began with Valentino Rossi being flicked from his M1 when the rear tyre lost traction on his out-lap, possibly due to his foot slipping from the footpeg, with Alex Lowes suffering a faster fall moments later. The Englishman went to the medical centre to have his foot checked.

Pol Espargaro and Danilo Petrucci were then involved in a scary incident when the Tech 3 rider lost the front of his M1 on entry to Turn 2 - his riderless bike then slamming into Petrucci as he was about to rejoin the track from pit lane. Both were fortunately able to walk away.
