was a good race for the first six laps then it was all over concerning who was going to win, it has taken a while for doohan's record to fall but needs two more wins to beat doohan's 12 in a season.
reading that doohan said marquez has a great chance to win every race this season.
baring injury it seems a good chance it will happen.
jack miller is keeping it upright and getting the points for the championship, also talk of him going straight to gp class on a honda, hope it is true.

With 8 races remaining sure he will win 3 or 4 barring injury.

Moto 3 i have won the race punching the air sitting up in the seat to enjoy the moment.
Quite a few riders pass me by at speed head buried in the fairing.
Oh feck one more lap to go sounds like pit board might have been wrong.

Very good race close from flag to finish 16 riders covered by 2 seconds over the finishing line.

Marquez - another pole (his 9th in 2014), Czech GP at Brno

this is an interesting little side-story, accusations he helped other riders in qualifying - allowing them to slipstream

MotoGP Brno: Iannone 'I’ll buy Marquez dinner!'

Andrea Iannone joked that he will buy Marc Marquez dinner in return for helping him claim a front row start for Sunday's Czech Republic MotoGP.
Iannone shadowed the reigning world champion during his crucial final run in Saturday's Qualifying 2. The tow initially put Iannone on pole position, with the Pramac rider eventually nudged to third by Marquez and the Factory Ducati of Andrea Dovizioso.
“I'm very happy for my front row. The second time this year. Today Marc helped me a lot. I think I'll pay for dinner for Marc!” he joked.

Marquez denies Ducati tow a tactic

MotoGP champion Marc Marquez has denied trying to help the Ducati riders get ahead of his main rivals in qualifying.

Unbeaten in all ten races this season and denied pole just twice, Marquez towed the Factory Ducati of Andrea Dovizioso to second on the grid last weekend at Indianapolis.

Pramac's Andrea Iannone then shadowed the Repsol Honda rider to briefly take pole at Brno on Saturday, on his way to third behind Marquez and Dovizioso.

Valentino Rossi believes it is more than just a coincidence and that the 'clever' Marquez is using the Ducatis to his advantage.

Marquez admitted he would have backed off if Dani Pedrosa, Jorge Lorenzo or Rossi were following him, but the Repsol Honda rider rejected the suggestion it is a deliberate tactic.

No [it is not on purpose], but the problem is that it is impossible to care about everybody and in the end you need to do your qualifying,” Marquez said. “You just try to control the main opponents - Dani, Jorge and Valentino.

"Of course if Dani, Valentino or Jorge were behind me I would close [the throttle]. But if it is another rider for me it doesn't matter.”
    Start grid for Brno
    Marquez, Dovizioso, Iannone,
    Smith, Pedrosa, Lorenzo
    Rossi, Bradl, Espargaro

marquez was off his tucker in this race, could not crack the record but don't what was wrong with his bike, looked alright to me but good on pedrosa cracking a win.
that moto 3 race was close and nice to see the winner, forgot his name, crack it after a lot of starts.

the way the italians greeted rossi after he won you would think the pope was riding it.
good win though, right tyre choice, lucky marquez was not hurt in his off.

It seems honda have taken a punt on the aussie jack miller, the current 125 leader
by signing him for a 3 year deal to ride the gp bikes and bypassing the usual path of stepping up to 250's first.
hope he he follows doohan-stoner and cracks the championship.

^ I believe that he will have Jeremy Burgess (Rossi's ex mechanic) turning the spanners for him.

    Well done Cal 3rd today.
Please note it cost £60,000 for a swinging arm for a Moto 2 bike.

You are right about lorenzo, he rode a great race, did not put a wheel wrong,Rossi thought he had a chance at least for second but not to be with Marquez making sure of getting enough points for the title, the bugger just keeps breaking records.
Looking forward to Aus gp,hope it is fine weather on that fast track and looks like Marquez's brother may take the moto 3 crown as he has a bit of a break on miller.
The pressure i was under today, had to watch Bathurst, F1,and Moto gp.

Remy Gardner to take on Phillip Island in Moto3 at Australian Grand Prix

TWENTY five years after his dad won the first 500cc world championship event in Australia, Remy Gardner hopes to now “show everyone what I’ve got” this weekend at Phillip Island. Gardner, the teenage son of motorcycle legend Wayne, is set to compete in his first local grand prix after securing a wildcard entry in the Moto3 class at the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix.
The 16-year-old made his grand prix racing debut only last month when he earned a late call-up to race in Moto3 at the San Marino GP in Italy.
Gardner has been based in Spain, racing in the Moto3 CEV series, with his family for the past three years to pursue his dream of becoming a full-time grand prix rider.
Having previously raced 80cc bikes at Phillip Island, this weekend will be Gardner’s first time riding a Moto3 bike around the circuit — but he can’t wait.
“It’s kind of unbelievable that my dream and my dad’s dream has come true,’’ Gardner said yesterday before taking a tour of the track with his dad.
“I can’t wait to get out on the track and see all the fans, it’s going to be pretty cool.
“I am just here to get some experience, we’re not expecting any massive result.
“I just want to go out there and have fun, learn the track on a proper race bike and just enjoy the moment and show everyone what I’ve got.’’
Gardner said he had drawn plenty of experience from his grand prix racing debut in Italy and hopes to attack the race a bit more this weekend.
“I think I was a bit too polite with all the riders, moving out of their way,’’ said Gardner, who will ride for his Madrid-based team Calvo/Laglisse on a KTM.
“I think I am going to be a bit more aggressive this time.’’
Gardner will join fellow Australian Jack Miller, who sits second in the Moto3 world title race behind Alex Marquez, brother of MotoGP world champion Marc, on the grid at Phillip Island.

Moto3: Jack Miller’s season hangs in balance

JACK Miller’s grasp on second place in the Moto3 world standings could slip today with Australia’s next great hope forced to start from eighth at Phillip Island.

But Miller — the heir apparent to Casey Stoner’s throne as king of the local circuit — will bypass the middle championship in 2015 with the 19-year-old set to leap straight into the MotoGP after being signed by Honda Racing Team.
The frustrated Queenslander yesterday conceded he would have to take risks to catch up ground today.
Miller was stuck in 13th with two minutes left in Saturday’s qualifying session but shot to eighth before aborting the final lap as he gestured at other drivers.
He finished fifth at Phillip Island last year and 21st in 2012.
Miller, 19, enters today’s race trailing Alex Marquez by 25 points and is 12 points clear of Alex Rins.
