As soon as it got to needing 10 an over (with 5 wickets in hand) and Dhoni at the crease they'd normally start hoiking boundaries, or getting out trying to. Half a dozen 6's and 4's and they're in a strong position to win at the stage, a postion we've all seen them win from many times before.

They dogged it to make life hard for their best friends and neighbours, Pakistan.
Yep, looked to me like they took their foot off the gas in the last 10 overs or so. Didn't even try.

What about the Tumbling Toms losing 2 x Ashes series 5-0?. Tell me with a straight face that they didn't back Australia for the whitewashes, and were really playing as well as they could...

I know swing low is the rugby. Ill have to google the cricket term

We'll soon see how fixed it was in the semis. It should be England v India again there and NZ v Aussies in the other semi, i think?

The Indians are missing their best player from the tournament I believe.

Definitely something dodgy with MS Dhoni yesterday as I've watched him in the IPL smashing 20+ of overs to win games and apart from a few exceptions he wasn't even trying to play shots.

    Well that was amazing.

The Windies looked like they were going to get over the line, when on came Angelo Mathews, who hasn't bowled since December 2017, and he conned Pooran (118) into nicking a slower ball.

Which I think will put an end to the Windies charge, but they have two wickets left.

Just when you thought there a full schedule of cricket ...

The Women's Ashes on English soil

How each team is looking on the eve of The Ashes

Australia has won both warm-up matches it has played since arriving in the UK against the English Academy side.
Jess Jonassen starred in the first one-day match with three wickets at a low economy rate and Rachael Haynes top-scored in the middle of the order, making 55 runs.
Two days later, they met in Loughborough again where Australia's batting line up again proved solid. It amassed a whopping 337 runs in 50 overs thanks to an opening partnership between Healy and Nicole Bolton (71 runs) before Meg Lanning just fell short of a century with 96.

Meanwhile, the England side comes into the Women's Ashes off the back of a highly successful home series against the West Indies.

It has now won 14 consecutive matches across a range of formats.

Rain did hamper the series and the Windies are not known to be a particularly strong touring side, but certainly England's 208-run victory in the first ODI at Leicester — the location of the first two Ashes matches — should put Australia on alert.

On now ... Bangladesh v India

India won the toss and elected to bat ... and have hit a 6 in the first over!

    Looks fine weather.

Put the house on India at odds of 1/5 before a ball was bowled, no value there. Over 319 runs at 5/6 is my bet.

And all the unwashed Poms still believe India didn't hand them the last game as a gift.

I dont think anyone doesn't believe something dodgy went on with India and MS Dhoni in particular making no effort to chase the total in the final overs.

^ Difficult to pick what the score would be until I could see how the pitch would play.

Small boundaries and with Indias batting line up and needing to win 320 should be easily doable. In play figure is now 345 runs, over or under.

^ Granted, but we are well into the tournament and many of the pitches are being reused, so I wouldn't bet on total scores.

But you did and the pitch seems OK. Even bounce and little grip for the spinners.

They wouldnt have beaten England again today on the same pitch with around the same score when going for it

Do you think they are trying to lose and are match fixing again?
